Allan Gerald Foster

The death of Allan Gerald Foster, of Campbellton, and formerly of Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 6, 2005, at the age of 60. Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of the late Herbert Foster and the late Cecile Arseneault. Allan was a construction welder. Surviving is his daughter Leslie Ann Foster of Vancouver, sisters Theresa Robillard (Leo) of Montreal, QC, Ramona McGrath (Art) of Campbellton, Lila McNeil (Scott) of Uma, Arizona and Gloria Blanchard (Gildard) of Dalhousie, brother Mark Foster (Adrienne) of Dalhousie, NB, one grandson Callum Smith, as well as several nieces and nephews. At the request of the family, there was no visitation or date of funeral announced. Interment was in St. John the Bosco Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Arthur Roy

The death of Mr. Arthur Roy, resident of the Dalhousie Nursing Home, occurred at the nursing home on November 12, 2005, at the age of 89. Born in Petit Rocher, NB, he was the son of the late Onesime Roy and the late Elizabeth Arseneault. Arthur was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are his daughters Judy Chamberlain (Lee) of Charlo, Dorothy Doucet (Maurice) of Dalhousie, Sonia Roy (Ken Sheeller) of Charlo, Jeannette Levesque (Clarence) of Charlo and Gisele Cormier (Lucien) of Charlo, her sons Jimmy Roy (Aline) of Montreal, Richard Roy (Lynn) of Charlo, Michel Roy (Blanche) of Dalhousie, Ronald Roy (Louise) of Charlo, and Marc Roy of Dalhousie, and his sister May Levesque of Mountain Brook, NB. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Predeceasing him were his parents, and wife Edna McIntyre. The funeral was held from St. Francis Xavier Church in Charlo on November 15, 2005, officiated by Rev. Armel Audet, with interment in the Parish Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Blanche Chamberlain

The death of Blanche Chamberlain of Lorne, wife of the late David Chamberlain, occurred November 7, 2005 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 91.

Born in Lorne, she was the daughter of the late Joseph LaPointe and Eva Hickey.

She is survived by her sons: Cecil (Delia) of Lorne, Albert (Beverly) of New Mills, daughters Eva Chamberlain of Lorne, Delores Godin (John) of Lorne, Claudette Lavigne (Valmond) of Lorne, brothers Arthur, Clarence, Celestin, Peter and sister Adeline Godin. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband David, sons Joseph, Delphis, daughters Lorena, Irene, Mary, Obeline and Ernestine.

Her funeral was held November 10, 2005, from St. Maria Goretti Church in Lorne, officiated by Father David Ferguson, with burial in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Perry Godin, Tyson Firlotte, Blaine Godin, Danny LaPointe, Darryl Carrier, and Clinton Chamberlain. John Sharpe Davidge
February 21, 1922 - November 8, 2005

John (Jack) was predeceased by his wife Geraldine (Gerry) (Mann) in 2002 and is survived by sons; Ronald and Peter (Virginia), his brother Robert (Bob) and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was the son of the late William and Carrie (Sharpe) Davidge of Campbellton, NB.

He graduated from Mt. Allison University, Sackville, NB. He worked as a Chemist spending half of his career with Fraser Company Ltd in Campbellton starting in 1950 before moving to Port Alice BC in 1965 with Rayonier Inc. He and his wife retired to Sidney BC in 1978. Jack was a 34 year member of Lions International and an active longstanding member of the United Church of Canada in all three locations, serving as a youth leader in Campbellton and as an elder during his years in BC.

He was past chairman of Camp Chaleur Board and Camp Pringle in BC. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1803 Quadra Street, Victoria, B.C. on Thursday, November 17, 2005 between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Memorial service will be held in St. Paul's United Church, 2410 Malaview Avenue, Sidney, BC on Friday, November 18, 2005 at 1:00 p.m.

Lewis Flanagan

The death of Mr. G. Lewis Flanagan of Dalhousie, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 9, 2005, at the age of 69.

Born in Dalhousie, he was the son the late Lewis Flanagan and the late Rebecca Grenier. Lewis worked for the Woodlands Division of the N.B.I.P. mill in Dalhousie.

Surviving are his sisters Irene Savoy of Richibucto, NB, Lyla Taylor of Dalhousie, Maxine Flanagan of Dalhousie, brother-in-law John Doiron of Dalhousie, nieces and nephews Susan Taylor, Carol Webb, Brian Savoy, Marvin Savoy, Daryl Savoy, Blair Doiron and John Jr. Doiron.

Lewis was predeceased by his parents and two sisters.

The funeral was held from St. Mary's Anglican Church in Dalhousie on November 12, 2005, officiated by Rev. Andrew Fraser, with interment in the Dalhousie Cemetery Extension in New Mills. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Roland Thomas Craswell

Surrounded by his loving family, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on November 8, 2005, Mr. Roland Thomas Craswell, husband of the late Margaret ('Peggy') Alverna (Young) Craswell, of Campbellton and formerly of Blacks Harbour, NB.

Born in Flatlands, NB on April 6, 1936, he was a son of the late Calvin Robert and Audrey Theresa (Downs) Craswell.

A loving and caring father and grandfather who was a 'best friend' to his family and friends, Roland is survived by three daughters, Bonnie (Brian) Johnson of Blacks Harbour, Kathy (Phillip) Hatt of Rollingdam and Jackie (Paul) Hatt of Halifax, NS; one son, Joey (Dianne) Craswell of L'Etang; adopted son, Michael; foster daughter, Frances (Ricky) Winters of Bonny River; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine (Fred) Johnston of Fredericton and Marie (Billy) Falls of Quebec. He was predeceased, besides his wife and parents, by a son, Thomas; a daughter, Janice and a brother, Alvin Craswell.

Roland was an Industrial Mechanic for Connors Bros. Ltd., Can & Cover Division for 29 years. He was a member of the Blacks Harbour Curling Club. He was an avid hockey fan who followed the Silver Kings and the Fundy High Mariners Hockey Teams through many seasons. He loved travelling and spending time with his family. He also loved his truck and plow.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm Friday from St. George's Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment in St. George's Catholic Church Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to a reception at 273 Deadman's Harbour Road, Blacks Harbour, following the interment.

Ronald Clarence Mann

The death of Ronald Clarence Mann, of Mann's Mountain, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 6, 2005, at the age of 75.

Born in Mann's Mountain, on February 8, 1930, he was the son of the late John McLeod Mann and Anne Harris. Ronald was employed as a labourer-barker for Fraser Pulp & Paper.

Surviving are his sisters Lilian Noye of Robinsonville and Sharon (Beverly) Steeves of Riverview, NB. Also surviving are nieces Vickie (Joey) Delaney, Kim (Steven) Osborne, nephews Milton Fitzgerald, Oswald Fitzgerald, Timothy Steeves, Michael Steeves and Dale Mann.

Predeceasing him were his brothers George and Algar and his sisters Della Fitzgerald and Janetta Mann.

The funeral service was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel on November 8, 2005, officiated by Rev. Raymond Kraglund, with interment in the Dawsonville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Delaney, Andy Delaney, Aubrey Hamilton, Billy Chesser, Deering Irvine and Bertie Irvine. Honourary pallbearers were Joey Delaney, Archie Babcock, Beverly Steeves, Gary Irvine, Beverely Mann, Jarvis Irvine and Lewis Irvine. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Therese LeClair

The death of Therese LeClair of Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 5, 2005, at the age of 79.

Born at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Campbellton on April 30, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Fournier and the late Elisabeth Noel.

Surviving her is her children Raymond (Rita Chouinard) of St-Eustache, QC, Armande (Bernard Guitard) of Dundee, NB, Rolande (Jean-Marie Belanger) of Mascouche, QC, Rhea (Georges Beck) of Capreol, ON, Pierre (Lyse Dufour) of Wakefield, QC, Antoinette of Sherbrooke, QC, Simonne (Jean-Louis Fournier) of Dundee, NB, Murielle of Sept-Iles, QC, Donia (Adrien Despres) of Cocagne, NB, Romeo of Moncton, NB, Raymonde (Wesley Firlotte) of Saint John, NB, Jean-Louis of Sherbrooke, QC, Roland (Valery Hughes) of Ontario, Bernard of Campbellton, NB, and Yvon (Mona Gallant) of Atholville, NB. Also surviving are brothers and sisters Sam Soucy (Marie-Ange) of Val D'Amours, NB, Marceline Soucy of Campbellton, Marie-Anne Soucy (late Joe Allard) of Whitby, ON, and Sarah Soucy (Emile Bouchard) of Elliot Lake, ON, 43 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Predeceasing her was her parents Thomas Fournier and Elisabeth Noel, adoptive parents Hilda (Girard) and James "Jim" Soucy, her husband Donat LeClair, daughter Yvette, son-in-law Gerard Cormier, and sisters Rosella Soucy and Gladys Fournier.

The funeral was held from Notre Dames des Neiges church on November 11, 2005, officiated by Father Romeo Morrison and Father Jocelyn Malenfant, with interment in Campbellton. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
