Ernest Savoie
1908 - 2007

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 4, 2007, passed away Ernest Savoie of Dundee at the age of 98 years, husband of the late Claudia Francoeur. He was the son of the late Lazare Savoie and late Edith Colbert.

He will be sadly missed by his daughters: Emelia Savoie (Lawrence) of Toronto, Theresa Bernier (late Peter) of Toronto, Ernestine Savoie of Toronto, Rose-Marie Savoie (Donald) of Toronto and Genevieve Savoie of Dundee; his sons: Walter (late Marianne) of Dundee, Robert of Dundee, Ludger (Carol) of Niagara Falls, Yvon of Dundee, Fernand (Kathy) of Toronto and Ronald (Olive) of Burlington; his 42 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren; his sisters: Helene Benwell of Campbellton and Edith Theriault of Campbellton.

His wife Claudia, his sons: John Joseph and Henri-Paul, his daughter Yvonne, many brothers' & sisters, and his parents predeceased him

The funeral was held on November 9, 2007 at the St-Jean-Marie-Vianney church, Dundee and celebrated by Father Régent Landry assisted by Father Armel Audet with burial in the parish cemetery.

Florence Lavoie

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 5, 2007 at the age of 93, Mrs. Florence Lavoie. Born in Maine, USA on February 20, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Edward Langlais and the late Lucie Voisine.

She leaves to mourn her daughters Ann Doucet and Carol (Blair) Charlong of Campbellton, her son Leo (Doreen) Lavoie of Campbellton, her sister Martha Henry of Connecticut, USA, her brothers Augustin, Enoil, Yvon and Rodney. Also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church Campbellton on Thursday November 8th at 11am. Father Bill Arsenault officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

John Arnold "Jack" Andrew

Passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on November 7, 2007 at the age of 77, Mr. John Armold "Jack" Andrew. Born in Campbellton on September 17, 1930, he was the son of the late Thomas Andrew and the late Mary Casey.

He leaves to mourn his son David Andrew of Tide Head, Special friend Patsy Benoit of Miramichi, his brother Robert Andrew of Sudbury.

Predeceased by his wife Myrtle and 2 brothers William & David.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Richard F. Gallant
1934 - 2007

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 5, 2007, passed away Richard F. Gallant of Atholville at the age of 73 years, husband of Peggy Gallant. He was the son of the late Frank Gallant and late Valerie Comeau.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Peggy Gallant of Atholville; his children: Pauline Vienneau (Tommy) of Eel River Crossing, Rachel Dobbin (Bernard) of Petit-Rocher, Monique Vienneau (Milan) of Eel River Crossing, Louis Gallant (Sylvie) of Moncton, Francine Gallant (Peter) of Atholville and Ricky Gallant (Camille) of Shediac; his 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; his sister Rina LeBlanc (Roland) of Campbellton. Many friends will also miss him.

His son Bobby, his brother Maurice and his parents, predeceased him.

The funeral was held on November 8, 2007 at the Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Atholville, and celebrated by Father Romeo Morrison with burial in the parish cemetery. A donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Winnifred Florence Brown

Winnifred Florence Brown Mrs. Winnifred Florence Brown (née Furlong) of 200 Roseberry Street Campbellton died peacefully at her home surrounded by loving family on October 22, 2007. Born in Jacquet River NB on December 28, 1927, she was the daughter of the late James Furlong (deceased 1945) and the late Theresa Dempsey (deceased August/2000). Winnie worked as a nurse at the Hotel Dieu Hospital for over 30 years, finishing her career at the Campbellton Regional hospital.

Societies within church: CWL, St. Judes League USA, St. Anne Annals, Quebec.

She will forever be remembered by all her friends and family for her generous, kind, compassionate and caring nature. Winnie is survived by her loving husband of fifty eight years Yorke Brown. She will be dearly missed by her loving family: Daughters: Paula (Dale) Casey- Fredericton, Heather (Larry) Bujold - Fredericton, Peggy (Michael) O'Connell- Atholville, Nancy (Roger) Duguay- Tide Head; Sons: Dan Brown (Shirley) - Bathurst, Robert (Darlene) Brown - St. John, Scott Brown (Barbara) - Lunenburg Nova Scotia, Reid- Campbellton; Sisters: Violet Clayton - Campbellton, Pearl Guitard- Jacquet River; Brother: Leo Furlong- Campbellton.

Winnie had a unique relationship with each and every one of her eight grandchildren and they are left with her love and words of wisdom to cherish forever. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and special friend Margaret.

Predeceased by her two brothers, Howard and Raymond Furlong and one sister Margaret.

The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton NB on Thursday October 25th at 11am. Father Bill Arsenault officiating. Interment at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
