Francis O'keeffe
O'KEEFFE Francis Montgomery September 27, 1925 - November 14, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank at Tabor Home in Abbotsford at the age of 82. Frank was born in Cambellton, NB, youngest son of Hugh and Opal O'Keeffe. He served on the navel ship HMCS Uganda in WWII. Predeceased by brothers, Wallace, Daniel, Arthur and Skip. Survived by sister Marie, St. Hubert, Quebec. Lovingly remembered by daughters, Sharron (Peter) O'Keeffe, Vancouver, Carol (Wayne) Belcher, 100 Mile House; grandchildren, Michelle, Debbie, Carla (Chad), Brandon (Rebecca), Carli, Kayla, Devon; great-grandchildren Devan and Kaylin; nieces, nephews and many friends. Frank will be remembered for his great sense of humor and loving spirit and will be sincerely missed by all. Frank's family would like to send a sincere thank you to the caring staff at Tabor Home for their love and kindness during Frank's stay there. A Service will be held Sunday, November 18, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. in Forest Lawn Chapel, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the BC Cancer Foundation.
Karen Godin
Karen Godin of the Dalhousie nursing home passed away at the Campbellton regional hospital on November 8, 2007 at the age of 64 after a long and courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.
Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late Allan and Grace (McMahon) Letourneau. She is survived by her husband Jean-guy Godin, son Allan Letourneau of Sackville NB, granddaughter Alina Letourneau of Fredericton, brother Conan (Mary) Letourneau of Fredericton, sisters Joyce (Henry) Richard of Campbellton and Melba (Paul) Arthurs of Ottawa.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her infant sister Bertha.
Karen was a retired office worker with Bowater in Dalhousie and had been a member of C.E.P. local 117.
Her funeral service was held Nov. 10th at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Dalhousie with Rev. William Arsenault officiating. Pallbearers were Henry Richard, Rory Richard and Dean Mullin.
Donations to the multiple sclerosis society of Canada would be greatly appreciated by the family. Arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home Dalhousie.
