Emilia Nadeau

The death of Emilia Nadeau of Campbellton occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November16, 2004, at the age of 82.

Born in Caraquet, N.B., on March 30, 1992, She was the daughter of the late Denis Comeau and the late Laura Leblanc.

She is survived by her daughters Renee Nadeau (Allain Emond), Jocelyne foster (Bill) and Diane Nadeau; son Robert Cyr (Esther Cyr); sister Estelle Comeau (Landry); as well as grandchildren Mathieu Nadeau, Jean Francois Nadeau, Melissa Foster, Sascha Nadeau and Marc-Andre Massicotte.

She was predeceased by her parents Denis and Laura as well as her husband Dr. Nidgar Nadeau.

The funeral service was held from Notre Dame des Neiges Church in Campbellton on Saturday, November 20, 2004, officiated by Father Morrison with interment in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Albert Firth

The death of Albert Firth of Robinsonville occurred at the Campbellton Nursing Home on November 15, 2004, at the age of 75.

Born in Robinsonville on November 17, 1928, he was the son of the late Hudson Firth and the late Sarah Harris. Albert loved hunting and fishing.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Edith (Murray) of Robinsonville; Daughters Karen Firth of Toronto, Ont. and Sharon Glidden of Squaw Cap; sons Dale of Hinton, Alb., Danny of Glen Levit, Garth of Gananoque, Que.; sisters Lynda of Robinsonville, Mary of Calgary, Alb. and Mona of Robinsonville; brothers Ninian and Ed both of Robinsonville; grandchildren Amy, Trevor, Tyson, Nathan, Jeff, Justin, Katilyne, Brittany and Courtney; and great granddaughter Amber.

He was predeceased by his parents Hudson and Sarah (Harris) Firth and one sister Vera (Firth) Jones.

The funeral was held from Maher's Funeral Home on November 18, 2004, officiated by Nick Murray and Raymond Kraglund with interment in the Robinsonville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dale Firth, Garth Firth, Kemp Glidden, Danny Firth, Robin Firth, and Craig Murray. Honuorary pallbearers were Jack Firth, Russel Fugere, Aubrey Firth, Charlie Gillis, Cecil Parker, John Morrison, Jack Claridge, Murphy Felix, Albert Downs, George Rosenfreen, Lyman Murray, Boyde Moores, Timothy Claridge, Rollie Gallant, Tommy MacDougall, Larry McKinnon, Emerson Murray, Eursal Murray, Nick Murray, David Boudreau, Don Harris, Max Firth, Gerald Cleveland, Eddie Firth and Glen Firth.

Darcy Guitard

The death of Darcy Guitard of Belledune, husband of Johanne (Carrier), occurred Wednesday, November 10, 2004, at the age of 39.

Born in Dalhousie, he was the son of Clifford Guitard and Freda Gray. He is survived by his mother Freda, wife Johanne, daughter Sarah, and brother Tommy of Toronto, as well as his sisters Behula Russell (Tom) of Jacquet River, Eunice Russell (Eddie) of Belledune, Audrey Carrier (Louis) of Belledune, Joan Legacy (Filele) of Belledune, Leona Comeau (Bill) of Whitehorse, and Patsy Thibeault of Belledune.

He was predeceased by his father Clifford, brothers Austin and Stephen.

His Funeral was held November 13, 2004, from St. John the Evangelist Church, Belledune, with burial in the Parish Cemetery, officiated by Father Benoit. Pallbearers were Fidele Giutard, Randy Carrier, Michel Legacy, Timmy Carrier, Vince Babineau, and JodyDalley. Honourary Pallbearers were Dean Guitard, Jean Paul Comeau, Edgar LaPlante, Norman Pitre, Danny Hickey, and Johnny Elsliger.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.

Joseph Nicholas Doucette

The death of Joseph Nicholas Doucette (Joseph Carrier) of Eel River Crossing occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 19, 2004.

Born in Eel River Crossing on May 8, 1933, he was the son of the late Joseph Carrier and the late Rose Anna Doucette.

He is survived by his sister Elizabeth LeBlanc of Dalhousie; brother Albert Carrier of St. Arthur; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The Funeral was held from St. Trinity Church in Eel River Crossing on November 22, 2004, officiated by Rev. Yvon Doiron with internment in the Eel River Crossing Cemetery. Pallbearers were Albert LeBlanc, Willie Chaisson, Louis LeBlanc and Claude Parent. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Olive Mann

The death of Olive Mann, resident of Dalhousie Nursing Home, occurred in Dalhousie on November 21, 2004 at the age of 99.

Born in Robinsonville on January 29, 1905, she was the daughter of the late Sanford Mann and the late Ellen Marshall. Olive was employed as a nurse and was a member of the United Church Women and the Point La Nim Women's Institute. She trained at the school of nursing at the Bathurst Hospital where she graduated in 1925 and shortly after left us for the U.S. and worked in Boston and New York and then returned to Dalhousie in 1968. After she retired, her favorite pastime was crocheting afghans. Her legacy is the colourful afghans that decorate all her family's homes.

She is survived by her sisters Opal Mann Ferguson of Dalhousie, Luella Mann (Wilbur) Hunt of Dalhousie and Marion (Arthur) MacNeish of Point La Nim; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters Beatrice Mann, Ruby Cameron, Geraldine Davidge and Florence MacEwan. The funeral was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel in Dalhousie on November 23, 2004, officiated by Rev. Roland Hutchinson with internment in the Riverview Extension Cemetery in New Mills. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral home, Dalhousie.

Hilda Durette

The death of Hilda Durette, wife of the late Adelard Durette and resdent of Balmoral, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 17, 2004.

Born in Dundee on April 3, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Louis Savoie and the late Rose Ann Berthelotte.

She is survived by her daughters Angelie (Roger) Leblanc of St. Catherine's, Ont., Esther of Balmoral, Lorraine of Valleyfield, Que., Marcella (Danny Vienneau) of Balmoral and Ginette Chateauguay, Que.; son Leo (Claudette Trepanier) of Chateauguay, Que.; sister-in-law Catherine Durette of Dundee; as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband Adelard as well as two sons Joseph and Donald.

The funeral was held from St. Jean Vianney Church in Dundee on November 20, 2004, officiated by Rev. Yvon Doiron with burial in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald LeBlanc, Mario Durette, Billy Lucas, Clayton Hebert, Danny Durette and Denis Ouellette.

Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Balmoral.

Verbine Isaac Barnaby

The death of Verbine Isaac Barnaby of Listuguj occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 14, 2004 at the age of 67.

Born in Listuguj on May 28, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Abel Isaac and the late Anestasia Marchand.

She is survived by her husband Isaac Barnaby; daughters Dora (Donat), Denise (Llyod) Tracy (Rodney) and Mona (Rene) all of Listuguj; Sons Roland (Shelley), Jeffery (Tracy), Brian and Winston (Tania) all of Listuguj; sisters Angie, Theresa, Georgine, and Dina; brothers Jamis, Poncho and Hubert; as well as 15 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; sisters Mary and Shirley; brothers Hector and Ernie and daughter Linda.

The funeral was held from saint Anne's Church on November17, 2004, officiated by Father Landry with internment in the Saint Anne's Church Cemetery in Listuguj. Pallbearers were Kenneth Isaac Barnaby, Ryan James Barnaby, Jacob Taylor Barnaby, Curtis Barnaby, Dominic Lawrence, Clement Barnaby and Samson Larry Barnaby. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Jean Campbell Stevens

The death of Jean Campbell Stevens of Campbellton occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 15, 2004 at the age of 91.

Born in Campbellton on May 18, 1913, she was the daughter of the late James P. Alexander and the late Margaret Campbell. Jean was a wren-coder during World War II.

She is survived by her sister Mary Mundle as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Venner Stevens; brothers Harold and Ronald; sisters Rae Forster Alexander and Ruth.

The funeral was held from Maher's Funeral Home on November 17, 2004, officiated by Fred Mundle with internment in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery. Pallbearers were Allen Forster, Dale Forster, Allan Alexander, and Jim Alexander.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
