Mrs. Edna Violet Gauthier (Nee Firth)
On Monday evening, November 21st, following a short period of illness, Mrs. Edna V. Gauthier
(nee Edna Violet Firth), passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital, at the age of 82.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Arthur Gauthier in 1998. She was devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by her immediate and extended family. She was the daughter of William A. Firth and Jessie Grace Murray of Robinsonville and the sole sibling of her predeceased brother Arnold Murray (Robinsonville).
She leaves to mourn her passing her immediate family as follows: her daughters Mrs. Reid (Ellis) Pollock (Glen Levit) and Elsa Gauthier (Riverview), her four sons, William (Robinsonville), Rodney (Glen Levit), Louis (Chalk River, ON), and Edward (Pugwash, NS), in addition to her children's partners Edna R. Gauthier (nee Archibald), Valerie Downs and Patricia Gauthier (nee White), Reid Pollock, Thomas Budd, and Harry Moore.
Her grandchildren include: Melinda, Billie-Jo, Simon, Jessica, Naomi, Katie,Amy, Melanie, Monica, Jordan, Cassandra, Kenneth, Jessica, Zabryna, Chloe, Mia; her great-grandchildren Alyssa, Sage, Aidan, Nathan, and Kyle. Internment in the family private cemetery at Robinsonville, NB. Memorials can be made to Christma Daddy's or a charity of choice.
Edward Mallaley
The death of Edward Mallaley of Lorne, husband of Ethel Mallaley, occurred November 27, 2005, at his residence at the age of 75.
Born in Lorne, he was the son of Tom Mallaley and Clara Carrier.
He is survived by his wife Ethel, daughter Lisa Carrier (Percy) of Jacquet River, granddaughter Brooke, his brother Alexander and his sister Mary Emma.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, his brothers Xavier, Joseph, Tommy, Raymond, David, Johnny, sisters Gertrude, Margaret, and Sarah Jane.
His funeral was held December 1, 2005, from St. Maria Goretti Church in Lorne, officiated by Father Ferguson with burial in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were John Duplissis, Michael Mallaley, Joshua Godin, Dick Carrier, Roy Mallaley, Ronnie Godin, Lee LaPointe, and Dale Carrier.

Jonathan F. Palmater
The death of Jonathan F. Palmater of Point la Nim, occurred at his residence on November 29, 2005, at the age of 25.
Born in Dalhousie, N.B., he was the son of Sidney Palmater and Ginette Arseneau. Surviving him is his mother Ginette Palmater, father Sidney Palmater both of Point la Nim, his special friend Emelie Allard of Dalhousie, his sister Tanya Palmater of Miramichi, N.B., his maternal-grandmother Marie-Anne Arseneau of Dalhousie, his paternal-grandparents Guy and Pearl Palmater of Point la Nim. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The funeral was held on December 2, 2005, from St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie, officiated by Rev. W. Arseneau, with interment in the parish cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.
