Beatrice (Flann) Kingston

Beatrice (Flann) Kingston - Bea passed away peacefully at Loch Lomond Villa on Saturday, November 24, 2007. Born in Jacquet River, NB on August 18, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Joesph & Mary Cormier.

She is survived by her sons, Gerald (Bonnie) Flann of Prince Rupert, BC & Rick (Tracey) Flann of Kingston Peninsula, NB; daughters, Lois Flann of Darlings Island, NB, Joan (Bruce) Phillips of Dalhousie, NB, Mona Flann of Saint John, NB, stepdaughter Carol (Paul) Lea, and grand children; Cheryl, Joyce, Susan, Karen, Elaine, Norman, Brenda, Rachael, Tracey, Junior, Ben & Luke and several great grandchildren. Bea is also survived by her sisters, Gladys Walker of Oakville, ON, Sylvia of PQ & brothers Alley Cormier & Vincent Cormier of ON, as well as several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Robert Flann in 1965, 2nd husband Arnold Kingston, daughter Anne (Flann) Grennan, grandson, Patrick Grennan, brothers Ludger, Norman, Edgar, Clifford and sister Audrey. The family greatly acknowledges the loving care provided by the staff of the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home & send a special thanks to her friends there.

Bea was a member of the Zion United Church, Women's Institute ,as well as the Order of the Eastern Star & the family would also like to extend appreciation for the many years of Friendship & Fellowship bestowed upon her over the years.

Memorial service & reception was held on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Zion United Church, New Mills, NB, followed by internment with her 1st husband, Robert Flann.

Bertha Cool-Parker

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 16, 2007 at the age of 83, Mrs. Bertha Cool-Parker from Atholville. Born in Saint-Isidore on April 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Georges Cool and the late Joséphine Losier. She was a retired teacher of 35 years.

She leaves to mourn her husband of 30 years, George Parker, one sister Mélanie Nolan from New York as well as several special nephews and nieces. Predeceased by one sister Démérise and nine brothers Tiburce, Gilbert, Alfred, Théophane, Jérémie, Alphonse, Hector, Walter and Sylvestre.

The funeral mass was held from Our Lady of Lourdes Church Atholville on Tuesday November 20th at 11am. Father Roméo Morrison officiating. Interment was at the Parish Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Joseph Alphée Savoie

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on November 19, 2007 at the age of 74, Mr. Joseph Alphée Savoie of Campbellton. Born in Dundee, NB on May 20, 1933, he was the son of the late Joseph Savoie and the late Blanche LeBlanc. He was retired from the Armed Forces. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 19 and in the Federal Superannuitants National Association. He served in the Canadian Army 1951-1954 and the Royal Canadian Navy 1955-1980. He leaves to mourn his wife Lorraine Savoie of Campbellton, his daughters Judy Mulholland of Duncan, BC, Debra Stewart of Tide Head, Catherine Demers of Randolph NJ, USA, Carol-Ann Dye of Toronto and Donna Savoie-Webb of Tide Head, his sisters Honorine Chamberlain of Bathurst, Rolande Roy of Campbellton, Liza Venoit of Bathurst and Georgette Roy of Fredericton, his brothers Alyre Savoie of Montreal and Robert Savoie of Campbellton. Also survived by his grandchildren Jennifer Woodrow of Duncan, BC, Amanda Bickerton of Duncan, BC, Melissa, Rebecca, Joseph Demers of Randolph, New Jersey, Joseph James Dye of Toronto, Keagan and Allie Savoie-Webb, great grandchild Trenton Bickerton of Duncan, BC. The funeral mass was held from St. Thomas Aquinas Church Campbellton on Thursday November 22nd at 11am. Father Bill Arsenault officiating. Interment at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Stewart, Derick Webb, James (Jay) Dye, Keith Demers, Joseph Demers and Tim Dye. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
