George Wallace Adams

The death of George Wallace Adams, of Glen Levit, occured on July 19, 2002 in Campellton, at the age of 72. Born on June 25, 1930, he worked on the CNR as a car man for over 33 years.

He was an active member of the CN Pensioners Association, the golden oldies bowling league and Saint-Anthony`s church in Glen Levit.

He was the son of the late Levis Adams and Elizabeth Hennigar. He is survived by his wife Adeline Nicolle, Glen Levit.

He is also survived by daughters Cindy (Larry) Felix of Ottawa and Angela (Vince) Moran of Upsalquitch, sons ; Wallace (Barb) Adams of Montreal, Rodney (Suzie) Adams of Montreal. Curtis (Sophie) Adams of Val D`amour and sisters Lillian Froud of Montreal and Eleanor Firth of Sussex.

Also, he is survived by grandchildren Stephen, Jessica, Sebastien, Alexander, Cole, Marc-Anthony, Baby Adams, Adam and Sarah.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Nina, Mary, Maggie, Hazel, and Elizabeth and brothers Donald, Allison, Bruce, Robert, Edward and Clifford.

The funeral took place in St.Anthony`s Church in Glen Levit on July 23, with Father Wesley Wade officiating.

Pallbearers were Garry Adams, Garry Mann, Phil Dow, Frank Madore, Gerald Guitard and Gae Flanagan. Honorary pallbearers were Sonny White, , Robert Nicolle, Sonny Betteridge and Guy Mills

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher`s Funeral Home in Campbellton.

John H. Lapointe

The death of John H. Lapointe occured on July 21, 2002 at the Dalhousie Nursing Home. He was 81.

Born in Gravelhill, he was the son of the late John Joseph and Ida (Bertin ) Lapointe.

He his survived by his wife Rosella, sons ; Vone (Elva) of Benjamin , Gabriel (Marie) of Jacquet River, Wayne (Kimberly) of Moncton, Wade (Jeanet) of Nash Creek, Adrien of Toronto and Rusell Lapointe (Cheryl ) of Moncton. He is also survived by daughters ; Blanche Lapointe of Jacket River, Marie Anne Bernard of Fredericton, Lisa Lapointe of Gravelhill, Donna Lapointe of Sunnyside and Rose Ann Guitard of Bathurst, brothers Brian and Tommy of Gravelhill, and sisters Leona Carrier of Gravelhill and Marie Richardson of Moncton. Also suvived by 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one brother, Harold and sisters Ida Hickey, Viola Dickson, Julien Anderson, Lena Goulette and Nora Lapointe.

His funeral was held at St. Joseph`s Church on July 24, 2002 with Father Lionel Comeau officiating.

Funeral arangements were in the care of MacMillan`s Funeral Home in Black Point.

Imelda Furlotte

The death of Imelda Furlotte of Campbellton Regional Hospital. She was 84.

Born in Campbellton on June 18, 1918, she was the daughter of the late John Parker and Rose Anna LeBlanc. She was a house-wife and proud mother of seven.

She his survived by her daughters, Rose (Glen) Myles, Henriette (Len Davis) Nickerson, Emily Kozak, and Madeleine Furlotte ; sons, Al (Lana) Furlotte, Omer (Christine) Furlotte, John (Theresa) Furlotte, one sister, Bertha LeBlanc and one Brother, Martin (Aline) Parker.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Wallace, brothers, John, Henry, Edmund, George and Rev. Omer, and sisters, Rose Anne, Stella and Mary.

Funeral will be held at Our Lady of Snows Church in Campbellton on Thurday August 1 at 2 pm. Father Morridon will officiate with internment in the parish cemetery.

Gerard Pepin

Gerard Pepin of Pointe-à-la-Croix passed away at the Campbellton Hospital on July 22, 2002 at the age of 72. Born in Quebec on January 18, 1930 he was the son of the late Joseph Pepin and Rose Anna Couture. He had spent many years at the spool factory.

He is survived by his wife Doreen Benwell-Pepin of Pointe-à-la-Croix, brother Rosaire (Cecile Veilleux) of St-Georges de Beauce, Quebec and brothers-in-law Lawrence and Allan Benwell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The funeral took place at Saint Helene`Church in Pointe-à-la-Croix on July 25, 2002 with Father LeBlanc officiating. Internment was in the Parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were James Wiseman, Arnold Wiseman, Steven Wiseman, Danny Firth and Allen Alexander. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher`s Funeral Home in Campbellton.
