Benoit Pelletier

The death of Benoit Pelletier, resident of the Dalhousie Nursing Home, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 1, 2005.

Born in Balmoral on August 26, 1919, he was the son the late Aimée Pelletier and the late Edna Savoie. Benoit was employed as a carpenter.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Emilia Lavallée; daughters Cecile (Yvon) et Edna (Louis) of Dieppe, Monique (Paul Emile) and Murielle (Hervé) of Campbellton; sons Emilien (Dilisca), Roger (Rose-Alma) of Balmoral, Lucien (Claudette) of Campbellton, and Fernand (Viviane) of Havre St Pierre; brothers Albini (Jeanette) of Balmoral and Joachim (Rina) of Balmoral; 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Albertine Doucet

The death of Albertine Doucet, resident of 225 rue Principal, Eel River Crossing, occurred at St. Joseph's Hospital on February 4, 2005, at the age of 62.

Born in Eel River Crossing on December 22, 1942, she was the daughter of Albert Levesque and Marie Reine Maltais. Albertine was an R.N.A. at the hospital for 25 years.

She will be sadly missed by a her husband Martial Doucet of Eel River Crossing; her parents, Marie Reine and Albert Levesque of Eel River Crossing; daughters, Suzanne Doucet of Eel River Crossing, Ginette Doucet of Dalhousie Junction and Lisette Doucet of Campbellton; brothers Real, Bernard and Roger Levesque, all of Eel River Crossing; grandchildren Marie-Pier and Noah; as well as several nieces and nephews

Raymond Stewart Gregoire

The death of Raymond Stewart Gregoire of 103 Lansdowne Street, Campbellton, occurred at his residence on January 29, 2005, at the age of 8l.

Born in Broadlands (Kempt Road), Quebec, he was the son of the late William Gregoire and the late Letitia MacLellan. Raymond was employed with the Canadian National Railway.

He will be sadly missed by his wife: Hazel (nee Shaw) Gregoire; daughters: Nancy Gregoire of Campbellton and Kathryn Patterson of Oakville, Ont.; son Douglas of Burlington, Ont.; sisters: Betty Gregoire of Broadlands, Que. and Jean Smith of Fredericton; brothers: Harvey and Jack, both of Broadlands, Que. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

Predeceasing him were his parents William and Letitia.

William Hickey

The death of William Hickey of Lorne, husband of Jeanetta, occurred February 2, 2005, at Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, at the age of 81.

Born in Lorne, he was the son of the late Henry Hickey and the late Lucy Lapointe.

He is survived by his wife Jeanetta, sons: Omer (Irene) of Bathurst, Gary (Ann) of Beresford, and daughter Wilma (Rick) Rouse of Peterbourgh, Ont. Also surviving are granddaughter Amanda, brothers David Hickey, Sanford Hickey, Celestin Carrier, Alex Carrier, and sister Lucy Waters. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvie, sister Adelia, brother Henry and step-daughter Marlene.

Kenneth MacIntosh

The death of Kenneth MacIntosh of Archibald, husband of Myrna (Rosengren), occurred Sunday, January 30, 2005, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.

Born in Archibald, he was the son of the late David MacIntosh and the late Susan Winton. He is survived by his wife Myrna, son Randy (Dorina) of Archibald, daughters Linda (Harold) Mckinnon of Miramichi; Susan (Gary) Casey of Amherst, Jean (Dave) Dole of Moncton, Carolyn (Rick) MacIntosh of Moncton, Marilyn (Kenneth) Wortman of Riverview; Karen (Pat) Hicks of Riverview and Wendy Macintosh (Jacques) of Beresford. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, sisters Myrtle (Lindsay) McAlister of Burlington, Ont. and Rebecca (Lester) Zinck of Halifax.

Predeceasing him was his sister Lou and brother Junior.

Therese M. Poley 1953 - 2004

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Therese Poley, 51, wife of Raymond Poley, of Riverview. She passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital surrounded by her loving family on Monday, December 27, 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on January 24, 1953 in Campbellton, NB; she worked for CN until her retirement in 2003. She was the daughter of the late Josephine and Amedée Guimond. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Riverview.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Raymond, two daughters, Christine Poley-MacTavish of Lethbridge, AB and Rachel Poley of Riverview; five sisters, Rita Duguay (Edmond) of Lachenaie, QC; Cécile Bélisle (Yvon) of Vimont-Laval, QC, Bernadette Blakely of Ottawa, ON, Marie Guimond of Lachine, QC; and Marguerite Guimond of Campbellton, NB; three brothers, Paul Guimond (Jeannine) of Sudbury, ON, André Guimond of Dalhousie, NB, and Louis Guimond (Patricia) of Atholville, NB; two brothers-in-law, Edward Poley and his wife Debra and Frank Poley and his wife Marjo, also by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Therese is predeceased by her parents, Josephine and Amedée Guimond, her mother and father-in-law, Annie and Clay Poley and by two brothers, Louis and Joseph Guimond.

Therese was a caring gentle soul who loved animals and the outdoors. She spent many hours fishing on the Restigouche, watching harness racing and cheering her daughters on at basketball games. Therese and Ray were avid golfers and she enjoyed teasing Ray when she beat him. Therese was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She never complained and always put others before herself. She was an example of love, courage and bravery until her final days. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Claira Arseneault

The death of Claira Arseneault, resident of 329 Princess Street, Dalhousie, occurred at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dalhousie on February 5, 2005.

Born in Dalhousie on April 3, 1916, she was the daughter of the late William Pritchard and the late Ida Guitard. Claira was employed as a clerk at a clothing store.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Edgar Arseneault; son Ronald (Shelley) Arseneault of Dalhousie; nieces Sandra Muir of Dalhousie and Mary Opal Sorensen of Winnipeg. Also surviving are grandchildren Justin, Susie (Ben LeBel) and Ian Arsneault of Dalhousie and great grandchildren Tiana and Trista of Dalhousie.

Alcide Louis Fournier

The death of Alcide Fournier, of Wallace Street in Dalhousie, occurred at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dalhousie on February 5, 2005, at the age of 72.

Born in Eel River Crossing, he was the son of the late Louis Alcide Fournier and the late Margaret Maltais. Alcide was a Stevedore Supervisor with Maritime Gulf-Brunswick Marine.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Frances Phillips of Dalhousie; daughter Margaret Peggy (Gilbert) Corrigan of Dalhousie; son Louis (Sharon) Fournier of Dalhousie; sister Alphonsine Robichaud Levesque of Sarnia, Ontario; grandchildren Erin, Matthew, Angela and Courtney.

Predeceasing him were his parents Louis and Margaret.

Freda Guitard

The death of Freda Guitard of Belledune, wife of the late Clifford Guitard, occurred Saturday, January 29, 2005, at the age of 83.

Born in Belledune, she was the daughter of the late Austin Gray and the late Annie Matthews.

She is survived by her daughters Beulah (Tom) Russell of Jacquet River, Eunice (Eddie) Russell of Belledune, Audrey (Louis) Carrier of Belledune, Joan (Fidele) Legacy of Belledune, Leona (Bill) Comeau of Whitehorse, and Patsy Thibeault of Belledune. Also surviving her is her son Tommy (Nancy) of Toronto, brother Mathew Gray of Saint John, sister Edna Guitard of Larder Lake, Ont., 25 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and she was also a foster mother to many.

Predeceasing her was her husband Clifford, daughter Mary Ann, and sons Austin, Lloyd, Irvine, Joseph, Stephen, and Darcy.

Cecile Bois

The death of Cecile Bois, resident of the village nursing home in Campbellton, occurred at the nursing home on January 31, 2005.

Born in St. André de Matapedia on January 19, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Dollard Dufour and the late Cecile Ouellet.

She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Bois-Thébeau of Fredericton; sisters Carmen Dufour Loubert of Montreal, Simonne Dufour Kelly of Montreal and Alice Dufour Savoie of Campbellton; brothers Ghislain Dufour of Quebec, Albert (Titi) Dufour of Quebec and Sylvio Dufour of St. André de Matapedia; grandson Patrick Thbéau.

She was predeceased by her the: parents Dollard and Cecile; husband Antoine Bois; son Réjean Bois; and brother Raymond.
