John Simon Gervais Murray
The death of John Simon Gervais Murray of Glencoe occurred on August 14, 2001 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
He was born in Glencoe on June 30, 1919 to the late Lawrence Murray and the late Alphonsine Gervais.
He was a retired CN locomotive engineer (37 years) and sawmill and lumber entrepreneur (40 years).
He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus and the CN Pensioner Association.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Babcock, his daughters Mrs. Mona (Gordon) Harris of Atholville, Brenda Murray of Glencoe and MRs. Lorraine (Carl) Dobson, his sons Allan (Kathy), Robert (Anne), Dennis (Ameda) and Danny (Aldora/ Do Do), his sisters Christina of Toronto, Betty of McLeods, Glenda of Campbellton, Grace of Vancouver and Esther of Ottawa, his brothers John of Dalhousie, Lawrence Jr. of Campbellton and Bryce of Moncton and by nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister Mamie and brothers Leonard, George and Paul.
Renée Pinault
On August 12th, 2001, at the Hotel-Dieu Ste-Hyacinthe Québec died Mrs. Renée Pinault at the age of 83 after a long illness.
Besides her husband, Dr. George M. Pinault, formerly of Campbellton, she leaves to mourn her sisters, Mrs. Noella Lamer and Jacqueline de Tremblay, sisters-in-law Mrs. Jeannine Véronneau of Montréal and Mrs. Marcelle Chrétien Pinault of Québec City, many nephews and nieces.

Jean Claude Perron
The death of Jean Claude Perron of Atholville occurred at his residence on August 11, 2001 at the age of 56. (He fell off the roof of his home)
He was born in Atholville on November 22, 1944 to Simon Perron and Anna Comeau (Perron)
He had been employed at hospitals in the community for 24 years and at the time of his death he was a store keeper at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
He was a very devoted volunteer fire fighter for 20 years.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Laurette Richard, his daughers, Nathalie (Jean DeGarie), Johanne (Roland Mercier) and Bridgette (Luc-Denis) Berlinguette, his sister, Claudette (Edouard Benoit), his brothers Roger (Andréa Levesque), Gérald (Suzelle Francoeur) his adorable granddaughter, Véronique DeGarie, by four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law and their spouses and by several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by a sister Simonne Perron Haché.
George Silas
The death of Georges Silas of Dalhousie Junction occurred August 13, 2001 at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton at the age of 66.
He was born in Campbellton on December 10, 1934 to the late Allie Silas and the late Evangeline St Onge.
He had been employed as a papermaker at the Dalhousie pulp and paper mill for 40 years and was a member of the Restigouche Golf and Country Club.
He is survived by his common-law wife, Shirley Boissonneault and her children: Denise, Claire, Suzanne, Gilbert and Ghislaine; his daughters, Linda Silas of Barachois, N.B. and Sandra Arseneault (Brent) of Dalhousie, his son, Robert Silas (Danie Landry) of Dieppe, his sisters, Glenda Ancharuk (John) of Fredericton, and Kathleen Beaudet (Andre) of St. Sauveur, his brother Jimmy Silas (Evelyn of Dalhousie and by his grandchildren Alexandre Martin and Maxwell Arseneault.
Donald Larry Barrett
The death of Donald Larry Barrett of 65 Cobequid Rd., Windsor Junction, N.S., occurred August 2, 2001 at the QE11 Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, at the age of 65.
He was born in Grand Falls, N.B. to the late Orland and Ida (Noonan) Barrett.
He worked as a geophysicist at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography, Darmouth, N.S.
He was a helper to many in need and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family and is survived by his wife, Patricia (Danks), daughter Dawn (Mrs Earl Trethewey) of Williamswood, N.S., son Michael (Darlene) and granddaughter Laura, both of Fall River, N.S.
He was predeceased by a brother, Ollie and sisters Erma and Charlene.
Elizabeth Ann Esliger
Relatives and friends learned with deep regret that Elizabeth Ann Esliger passed away at St. Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie July 27th, 2001 at the age of 54 after a long illness. Elizabeth Ann was born in Campbellton at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, she was the only daughter of the late Harold Dickie and Mae (Olsen) Dickie.
She attended the Carleton County Vocational school in Woodstock in 1965 and the New Brunswick Institute of Technology in Moncton and graduated in 1971, then moved to St. John where she met her husband Giles Esliger and married in July 1971.
She is survived by her mother Mae, her beloved husband Giles, two daughters Wanda and Holly both of Jacquet River, two granddaughters Kayla and Jami, two Brothers Niles (Ruth) Dickie of St. George and David (Alma) Dickie of P.E.I.
She was pre-deceased by her father Harold Dickie and two brothers Wilber and Norman.
Joseph Swasson
The death of Joseph Swasson of 127 Riverside West, Listuguj, Qc., occurred August 18, 2001 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
He was born in Listuguj on May 26, 1917 to the late Peter Swasson and the late Margaret Condo.
He is survived by his wife Lilly Isaac Swasson, his daughters Margaret Swasson Caplin, Malvina Swasson Metallic, both of Listiguj, and Delphine Swasson of Montreal, his sons Leonard (Chris) Swasson of Connecticut, and Michael (Carol ) Swasson, Floyd (Gisele) Swasson and Venner Swasson all of Listiguj and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Armand Bujold
The death of Armand Bujold of Pointe-a-la Croix, Qc., occurred August 8, 2001 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 63.
He was born on October 25, 1937 to the late Gilbert Bujold and Amanda Blacquiere.
Besides his wife, Kathleen Hackett, he is survied by his sons, Jean Paul Bujold and Denis (Anne Leblanc) Bujold, both of Pointe a la Croix; his sister Florida Helene Glazer of Fredericton; his brother Eugene Bujold of St Arthur, his half-brothers Gerard Bujold of St. Arthur and Michel Bujold of Campbellton and his half-sisters Alma Paradis of St. Arthur, Gilberte Labillois of Miguasha, Qc., Rita Basque (Jean Guy) of St. Arthur, Micheline Schop (Francie) of Halifax and Nicole Calver (Bob) of Shediac Bridge. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Mrs. Hackett.
Leslie Wilson
The death of Leslie Wilson of Malauze occurred August 13, 2001 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. He was 55.
He was born in Val d'Amour on June 1, 1946 to the late Richard and Rita Wilson.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Aubut-Wilson, his daughters, Marie-Rose (Ghislain) Stephanie (Luc), both of Campbellton and Cathy (Al) of Moncton, his sons, Henry of Malauze, Georges (Marie Josette) of Campbellton and Allain (Kim) of Moncton, his sisters, Jacqueline (John), Fernande (Leo), Marlyn (Nikki) Merina (Georges) and Verine (Emilien), all of Campbellton, his brother, Ronnie (Jacinthe) of Pointe a la Croix, Qc., and also by Eden Danik, Kysha, Samantha, Krista, Graydon, Gilbert, Junior, Jenny, Jessica, Justin, Renee, Edgar Jr. and Jessica.
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by his brother Kenny.
