Sr Corinne Savoie, f.j.

Sœur Corinne Savoie, en religion, Sœur Albert-Maria, est décédée le 11 décembre 2007 à l'Hôpital de Moncton. Elle était dans la 90e année de son âge et la 61e de sa profession religieuse. Née à Shippagan, N.-B., elle était fille de feu Adélard Savoie et de feue Angélique Robichaud. Outre sa famille religieuse, elle laisse dans le deuil deux frères : Armand, de Gloucester, Ontario; et René, de Fredericton, N.-B., ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. L'ont précédée dans la tombe sept frères et huit sœurs.

Notre Sœur Corinne a vécu sa mission d'enseignante : à Belledune, Dalhousie, Barachois et Rogersville, au N.-B.; ainsi qu'à L'Ardoise, en N.-E.

La dépouille mortelle est exposée à la Maison vice-provinciale des Filles de Jésus, 553 Promenade Elmwood , Moncton, le jeudi 13 décembre 2007 à partir de 14h .

Les funérailles auront lieu en la chapelle du 553 Promenade Elmwood à 11h le vendredi 14 déc. 2007. L'inhumation se fera dans le cimetière N.-D.-du-Calvaire à Dieppe.

La direction des funérailles a été confiée aux soins professionnels de la Maison funéraire Frenette Ltée, Moncton (858-1900).

Leo Lavigne

The death of Leo Lavigne of Lorne, occurred Saturday, December 1, 2007, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 67. Born in Lorne, the son of the late Frank Lavigne and Theresa Hickey.

He is survived by his sons Woods (Norma) of Black Point, Elwood of Lorne, daughter Bernadine Furlotte (Lionel) of Lorne, stepdaughter Lucille of Lorne, grandchildren Morgan, Jordan, Chris, Drew, Savanna, Becky, and Jeffery. Also, surviving are his brothers Delphis of Belledune, Murray and Alex of Lorne, sisters Joyce Guitard of Belledune, Doris Lavigne of Nash Creek and Leona Lavigne of Dalhousie. He was predeceased by his wife Cecile and stepson Dean and brother Norman. His funeral was held Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at St. Maria Goretti Church, Lorne, officiated by Father David Ferguson. Pallbearers were - Armond Carrier, Keith Hickey, Neil Hickey, Joey Lavigne, Shawn Lavigne and Rodney Hickey.

Mary "Christine" Gallant

GALLANT, MARY "CHRISTINE" - passed away Friday, December 7, 2007, in Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Dalhousie on December 1, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Hilson and Viola (Bujold) LeTourneau. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Joseph Gallant; sons, Randy (Jeanne), Saint John, Jeff (Lynne), Halifax, Douglas, Grand Bay - Westfield, Joey (Sandra), Campbellville, Ontario; brothers, Donald (Joan), Ralph (Georgette), David (Ann) all of Dalhousie, Kevin (Lucille), Campbellton; sisters, Eva, Cambridge, Ontario, Olive, Dalhousie, Violet (Earl), Tsawwassen, B.C., Eleanor (Americo), Vancouver, B.C., Jean (John), Victoria, B.C., Gloria (Ambrose), Dalhousie; grandchildren, Michael, Marie, Kathleen, Emily, Justin, Jacob, Holly, Thomas and Shylo; great-grandson, Richard. Christine is predeceased by brothers, Bernie and Alvin, and two sisters in infancy. Christine formally worked at Bluenose Fish Market, Riverview, NB, and Save Easy West Saint John, and enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling and Interior Decorating. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who enjoyed being with her friends and family. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 7 - 9 p.m. and Sunday, 2 -4 and 7 -9 p.m. at Castle Funeral Home "Fallsview" Chapel, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John. Funeral service will be Monday, December 10, 2007 at 10: 30 a.m. at Castle Funeral Home "Fallsview" Chapel. Paul Clevette
1942 - 2007

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on December 12, 2007, passed away Paul Clevette of Campbellton at the age of 65 years, husband of Joyce (Borris) Clevette. He was the son of the late John Alexander Clevette and late Janie Roy.

Mr. Clevette was a member of the Rotary Club and had the honour of receiving the Paul Harris medal.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Joyce Clevette of Campbellton; his daughter Rhonda Currie (Jeff) of Moncton; his two grandchildren: Benjamin and Samuel; his sisters and brothers: Kathleen Borris (Clarence) of Niagara Falls, Ont., Arnold Clevette (Jeannette) of Campbellton, Valerie Ouellette of Campbellton, Edna Girard of Etobicoke, Ont., Stanley Clevette (Denise) of Niagara Falls, Ont, and Marlene Dobson (John) of Campbellton and by many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, brother Donald and his sisters: Irene & Francis. The funeral was held on December 15, 2007 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton, and celebrated by Father William Arseneault with burial in the parish cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers were Wallace Borris, Keith Dobson, Michael Clevette, Wade Carrier, Reggie Roy and Bob Durette. Honorary pallbearers were his brothers: Stanley and Arnold Clevette.
