Arthur (Art) James Talbot
Peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Sunday, July 28, 2002 in his 82nd year.
Arthur was born on January 18, 1921 in Belledune, NB.
Loving husband and best friend of Rita (Marcoux) for over 33 years. Cherished father of Lynn (John) Checchia and dear grandpa of Matthew and Melissa Checchia. Much loved brother of Ralph (Bernice) of Hamilton, Sanford of Jacquet River and Arnold (Dorina) of Belledune. Dear brother-in-law to Cecile and Charles De Grace, Bill Marcoux, Simonne and Marcel Allard, Gilbert and Kathy Marcoux, and Jerry and Nicole Marcoux.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by infant children Joseph and Mary, his parents Joseph and Margaret Talbot, sisters; Mona and Edna and brothers; Reginald, Harry and Leslie.
Art was retired from Stelco (20" mill) with over 34 years of service. He was an honorary life member of the 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Council 5860 and 4th Degree Member of Bishop Ryan Assembly.
Visitation was at the P.X. Dermody Funeral Home on July 29th and 30th with the funeral mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 31st , 2002. Interment was at the Resurrection cemetery.
The 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus Rosary was held on Monday, July 29th with Parish prayers at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 followed by the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus service.
Donation were to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one`s choice.
Frank L. Caldwell
1919-2002
The death of Floyd McDonnell of Jacquet River occurred on August 10, 2002, at the age of 33.
He was born in Jacquet River to Theresa (Syder) and the late Merle McDonnell. After graduating from UNB in 1993 he went on to become a mechanical engineer.
Besides his mother in Jacquet River, he was predeceased by his father and his grandparents.
The funeral service was held at St. Gabriel’s Church in Jacquet River on August 14, 2002, with burial in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff Gauthier, Rodney Gauthier, Jeff Carter, Royce McDonnell, Frank McDonnell and Joyce McDonnell.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark Glynn, Rob Morehouse, Anthony Snyder, Don Murray, George Snyder, Ron Meade, and Brad Donavan.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan’s Funeral Home in Black Point.
Dorothy Beckingham Lockhart
Dorothy Beckingham lockhart of Campbellton passed away at the age of 89 in Campbellton on August 13, 2002. she was born in Campbellton to Geoge Mundle and Audrey Beckingham on May 17, 1913.
She is survived by her daughters; Mrs. Chelsey Thompson (Carol) of Kirkland Ont. and Mrs. W. Hills (Nancy) of Vancouver, her brother, Lorne Mundle of Campbellton, and her three grandson; Dean and Chris Thompson and Steven Hills.
She was predeceased by one grandson Scott Hills.
The funreal service was held at Knox Presbyterian Church in Campbellton on August 15, 2002 with Rev. Saulters officiating.
Pallbearers were Kris Thompson, Dean Thompson, Matthew Arpin, Ryan Parker, Chad Parker and Troy Mundle. Honourary pallbearers were Ches Thompson and Fred Mundle.

Gerald Parker
After a courageous battle with cancer, Gerald Parker of Eel River Crossing passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on August 3, 2002 at the age of 68. He was born in Eel River Crossing on October 24, 1933.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Anna M. Parker of Eel River Crossing, daughters, Georgette Babin of Varennes, PQ., Marylin Parker of Prevost, PQ., sons, Alan Parker of St-Gabriel de Brandon, PQ., step-children, Kathleen Adams of Stittsville Ont., Donal O’ Connell of Pickering, Ont., Colin O’ Connell of Toronto, two brothers, Edgar Parker of Eel River Crossing and Bernard Parker of Eel River Crossing, and six sisters, Doreen Fecteau of Dalhousie, Marjorie Birnie of Toronto, Eileen Joncas of Hudson, PQ., Joan Parker of Mississauga, Ont., Argine McPhee of Niagara Falls and Jean Roy of Richardsville.
He was predeceased by his parents, as well as one brother Arnold and two sisters Margaret DiBella and Jeannine Legace.
The funeral was held at Holy Trinity Church in Eel River Crossing on August 6, 2002 with father Arseneau officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home in Balmoral.
Bonnie Vaughn Bailey
The death of Bonnie Bailey Vaughn occurred on August 15, 2002 at the Kingston, Ontario.
She is survived by her husband, Len, her sons; Bill and Kevin Bell, her sisters; Shirley Brunet and Beatrice Kent, and many good friends.
A celebration of her life will take place today from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the James Reid Reception Centre in the James Reid Cataraqui Chapel in Kingston, Ontario.
Rosamond I. Wilmot
The death of Rosamond I. Wilmot, of K.E. Spencer Memorial Home in Moncton, occurred on July 23, 2002 at the age of 83. Formerly of Point de Chene, she was born in Campbellton on August 22, 1918, the daughter of the late Price and Rose (Caldwell) Dickie.
