Sylvio Borris
The death of Sylvio Borris occurred on October 20, 2002 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 79.
He was born in Malauze on July 22, 1923, the son of the late Alexander Borris and Delima Levesque.
He is survived by his wife, Aline Perron, his daughters; Joyce (Robert) Matte of Dundee, Audrey (Robert) Raymond of Val D'Amour, Linda LeBlanc of Edmunston, Pierrette (Regean) Lurette of Val D'Amour, and Francine (Adelard) Hache of Glencoe, his sisters; Jeanette and Joyce of Campbellton: his brothers Aurele and Hervin of Malauze, Wallace of Campbellton, Clarence of Niagara Falls and Albenie of Montreal, as well as ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Gerald, two grandsons: Regean Raymond and Bruno Matte, two Sisters: Greta and Doris and two brothers; John and Albert.
His funeral was held on October 23 at Our Lady of Sacred Heart's Church in Val D'Amour with Father Emile Godin officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of the Chaleur Funeral Home in Campbellton.
Georgina Dugas Harquail
The death of Georgina Dugas Harquail, 81, occurred on October 15, 2002 in the Mont Joli Hospital
She was predeceased by her husband, Antoine Harquail, of Val D'Amour.
She is survived by her children, Jean Guy (Ghislaine Dube), Colette (Bernard) Dupere, Rachel (Richard) Taylor, Clarence (Francine) Bujold, her seven grandchildren, Marc, Richard, Michel, Daniel, Stephane, Natacha andFrederic, her two great-grandchildren, Darian and Alexandra, her brothers; Alonzo, and Lionel (Thelma) Wilson, her brother-in-law, Alphonse Harquail (Claire Darcie), here sisters-in-law; Rita Harquail (Hector Drapeau), and Marguerite (Hector Boudreau) as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral was held at the Sacred Heart Church in Val D'Amour on October 18.
The Harquail family would like to thank everyone for the sympathy and kindness shown them in this time of sorrow.
Scott Bruce Firlott
We have been asked to announce the death of Scott Bruce Firlott who passed away on October 18, 2002 at the Edmonton University Hospital.
He was born on March 16, 1915, the son of the late George and Mary Firlott and was the last of his family.
Urban R. Mann
The death of Urban Mann, 81, of Robinsonville occurred on October 30, 2002. He was born in Upsalquitch on July 8, 1921 to Gordon Mann and May Thomas.
After serving in the Second World War, he worked for 26 years at the Canadian National Railway and was actively involved in gardening, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Diana of Robinsonville, his children, Kathie (Kevin) Procter of Ingersoll, Ontario, Eleanor of Halifax, Karen of Vancouver, Gayle of Vancouver, and Michael of Vancouver, his sisters; Hester Turriff of Campbellton, Elizabeth Murray of Robinsonville, Christine Gray of Brampton, Ontario, Violet McGarrell of Scarborough, Ontario, and Delia Lacastrol of Brampton, Ontario, his brother, George Mann of Tide Head, his grandson Kristopher Proctor, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers; Oswall, Lawrence and Dazell.
His funeral was held on November 2 at Maher's Funeral Chapel in Campbellton with Rev. Wendell Gregan officiating. Interment was in the Robinsonvill Catolic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rodger, David, Wayne and Shane Mann, Ben Murray, and Johnny MacDonald.
His funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Campbellton.
Donald Willett
The death of Donald Willett of Broadlands, P.Q., (Kempt Road) occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on October 28. He was 67.
Born in Broadlands on October 25, 1935. He was the son of the late James and Margaret (Firlotte) Willett and had been a fishery warden prior to his retirement.
He loved working outdoors, playing cards and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel Savoie, two sons, James (Nathalie Labbe) of Dalhousie Junction and Jeff of Campbellton, and three grandchildren, Nathan, Kathleen and Jeremy.
Also surviving are a sister, Lyda Hannam of Brantford, Ontario, and a brother, Elwyn (Crandleen) of Mississauga, Ontario and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Ivy Minaker and Lorna Babcock.
The funeral was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel, Campbellton, on October 31 with Rev. Wendell Gregan officiating.
Honourary pallbearers were Jackie Gregoire, Carl Adams, Harvey Gregoire, Vimy Lyons, Max Firth, Amon McKinnon, Martial Poirier, Rene Ouellet and Terry Hannam.
Interment was in the Kempt Road Cemetery.
Funeral arrangemets were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
John S. Fanjoy
John S. Fanjoy passed away peacefully on October 31, 2002, at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Dalhousie, after a long battle with cancer.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Carol (Dewar) Fanjoy and his daughter, Allison Fanjoy-Ouellette of Moncton.
Remembrances may be made to the St. Joseph's Hospital Palliative Care Unit, fourth floor, the S.P.C.A., Friends of the Moncton Hospital or the VG Hospital in Halifax.
