Emily Ethel McNeil

The Death of Emily Ethel McNeil, 96, of Charlo occurred on October 11, 2002 at her home.

She was born in Lorne on January 31, 1906 the daughter of the late Frank and Marie Jeanne Hickey.

She is survived by her daughters; Emilia Smith of Campbellton, Mabel Carrier (Gabriel) of Charlo, and Lillian Carrier of Saint John, her son, Nelson McNeil of Charlo, as well as 25 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased by her husband, Melvin, on February 25, 1978.

Her funeral was held on October 14, at Saint Francois Xavier Church in Charlo with Father Yvon Doiron officiating. Pallbearers were her grandsons; Gilles, Marc, and Kenneth Carrier, Mario McNeil and Ricky Smith and her nephew, Delphis Legace.

The arrangements for her funeral were in care of Maher's Funeral Home in Dalhousie.

Alfred Guitard

The death of Alfred Guitard, husband of the late Bertha Guitard, of Jacquet River occurred on November 7, 2002 at the St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 95.

He was born in Jacquet River, the son of the late Joseph and Catherine Guitard (Joncas).

He is survived by his sons; David (Jean) of Bathurst and Martin (Virginia) of Jacquet River. His daughters; Anne (Steve) Monton of Montreal, Simone Pitre of Armstrong and Vera (Lawrence) Lawlor of Sarnia, Ontario, his brother, Hector (Gertrude) of Jacquet River, his sisters; Lillian St. Germain of Moncton, Doris Esliger of Jacquet River and Margaret Furlotte of Jacquet River, as well as 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by four brother; Rexford, Leo, Wendell, and Clement and three sisters; Rosie, Julia and Mary.

His funeral was held on November 11 at St. Gabriel's Church with Father Wilfred Benoit officiating.

Interment was in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tracy, Ken and Dean Pitre, Pamela Monton, Nacy Guitard, and Blair Guitard.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home in Black Point.

Marie Anne (Gagne) Lauzier

The death of Marie Anne (Gagne) Lauzier, 89, of Moncton occurred on November 10, 2002 at the K.E. Spencer Memorial Home in Moncton.

She was born on December 12, 1912 in Van Buren, Maine the daughter of the Late Alphonse and Anna Gagne.

She was a former choir director at Our Lady of the Snow's Church in Campbellton from 1965 to 1969 and was an active member of the choir from 1929 to 1969.

She was predeceased by her husband, J.E. Lucien Lauzier and one brother, Omer Gagne.

Her Funeral mass was held on November 13 at Notre Dame d'Assomption Cathedral in Moncton with Father Legere officiating,. Her interment will be in Our Lady of the Snow's cemetery in Campbelton.

Her funeral arrangements were in the care of Cadman's Funeral Home in Moncton.
