Guy E. Traer

Guy E. Traer of Pt. la Nim passed away on November 10, 2002 at the age of 78.

He was born on March 23, 1924 in Chatham and was the son of the late Charles and Alice (Dick) Traer.

He is survived by his wife, Jean, his three daughters; Susan Traer (Ryan) of Trenton and Kathy Traer (Yvon) of Dalhousie, his three sons; Ralph of Pt. La Nim, Eddie (Pam) of Dalhousie Junction, and Terry (Martine) of Pt. La Nim, his sister, Kathleen Adams (Allie) of Campbelton, and 13 grandchildren.

He was predeceased by two brothers; Charles and Fred and two sisters; Dorothy and Lucy.

A private family funeral service was held on November 12 from the MacMillan Funeral Home with Rev. Roland Hutchinson officiating. Interment was in the Dalhousie extension cemetery New Mills.

Those wishing to make a donation to the Heart and Stroke or Kidney Foundations would be appreciated by the Traer family.

The funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home in Black Point.

Frank Keays

The death of Frank Keays of New Mills occurred on November 10, 2002 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Dalhousie at the age of 88.

He was born in Millstream, Quebec the son of the late Nathaniel Keays and Elizabeth (MaCallum).

He is survived by his wife, Eileen (Babin), his Sons; Nat (Margaret) of Fredericton and Marcel (Anita) of Moncton, his brother, Gordon of Oshawa, his step-sister, Lucy Mitchell of Campobello Island, his step-brothers; Art Homer of Dalhousie JcT. and John Homer of Arnprior, Ontario, his only grandson and one great-grand - daughter.

He was predeceased by his brothers; Arnold, Tom, Gerald, and Donald, his sisters; Dorothey, Goldie, and Doreen and stepsisters; Sylvia, Winnifred, Mabel, and Elsie.

He funeral was held at Zion United Church in New Mills on November 14, with Rev. Victor Downs officiating. Interment was in the New Mills cemetery.

Pallbearers were Leo Lapointe, Cecil Gallen, Donald Gallen, Bob Roy, Leander Lapointe, and Archie Richard.

His funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home in

Black Point.

Jonathan Allan McDavid

The death of Jonathan Allan McDavid of Matapedia occurred on November 7, 2002 in Montreal at the age of 19. He was born in Matapedia on April 25, 1983 the son of Kenneth McDavid and Heather Wilson.

Besides his parents in Matapedia, he is survived by his sisters; Melissa of Montreal and Amy of Matapedia, his grand-mother, Opal Wilson, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

His funeral was held at Maher's Funeral Chapel on November 13 with Rev. Watson Williams officiating, Interment was in the Matapedia Protestant Cemetery with Michael Roy, Kevin Roy, Allan Price, Clement Maltais, Rodney McDavid and Darin Churchill serving as pallbearers.

His funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Campbellton.

Leon (Lee) Ray McInnis

The death of Lee McInnis of Dalhousie occurrred on November 14, 2002 at the age of 75.

He was born in Elmsdale, P.E.I on August 5, 1927.

He was employed as a stationary engineer for Bowater Maritimes for 38 years and a union member of Operatine Engineers as well as a member of the Dalhousie Golden Age Club.

He was an avid hockey fan and a hunting and fishing enthusiast.

He is survived by his loving wife, Paula (Winchester), his sons; John (Denise) of Dalhousie, Terry (Monique) of Dalhousie, and Dale (Vicki) of Toronto, his daughter, Donna Lee (Andre) Cormier of Charlo, his three sisters; Pearl Boome of Norton, NB, June Butler of Tabusintac, and Arlene Harding of Cains Point, NB, his two brothers; Murry McInnis of Moncton, and Ira McInnis of London, Ont., his grandchildren; Lise, Natalie, Jason, Marco, Melissa, Rene, Shawn and Marcel and his three great-grandchildren; Anthony, Jaydon, and Michelle.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Reta.

All members of his family, whom he very much loved, will miss him dearly.

His funeral mass was held on November 18 at the St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie.

Arrangements for his funeral were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Dalhousie.

Maurice (Moe) Roy

The death of Maurice Roy occurred on November 13, 2002 at the Toronto General Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Linda, dear son of Florence and Albert Roy, and son-in-law of Florence Adams all of New Brunswick. He was also the loving brother of Albert Jr. (Elaine), John (Denise), Max (Shawna) and Phillip (Joan) and brother-in-law of Rhoda (Mike), Harley (Pat), and Heather.

Moe will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held last Saturday and the Bendale Bible Chapel in Scarborough, Ontario.

Donations in his memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of the Toronto General Hospital.

His funeral arrangements were in the care of the Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home.
