Stephen John Bernard

The death of Stephen John Bernard of Surrey, B.C. occurred on October 31, 2002 at the age of 35. He was born in Campbellton on November 2, 1966 the son of Donald Bernard and Patricia Doucet.

He was working in Surrey as an engineer.

Besides his parents, he survived by his wife, Claire Morris, his sisters; Debra (John) Doucet of Campbellton, Louise (Rickey) Legacy of Atholville, Karen (John) Parker of Campbellton, and Jeannie (Mike) Martin of Mississauga, Ontario, his brothers; Chris (Wanita) Bernard of Dundalk, Ontario, Donald Bernard of Vancouver, B.C., Eric Bernard of Mississauga, Ontario, and Kevin Bernard of Dundalk, Ontario.

He was predeceased by one brother, Lawrence Bernard.

His funeral was held on November 7 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton with Rev. Wesley Wade officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery with Mike Geraghty, Peter Larocque, Mark Ramsay, Alex Levesque, Timmy Wirtanen, and Rick Osgood serving as pallbearers.

His funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Campbellton.

Priscilla Currie

The death of Priscilla Currie, 81, of the Campbellton Nursing Home occurred on November 30, 2002 at her residence.

She was born on April 6, 1921 in Grand-Mere, Quebec to the late Alonzo Fearon and the late Yvonne Gallant.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Brett) Duffield of Carp, Ont., her sons; Van (Joan) Currie of Campbellton and Fearon (Nancy) Currie of Saint John, her sisters; Isobel (Arthur) Arseneault of atholville, Roma (John) Ferguson of Niagara Falls, and Walma (Normand) LeBlanc of Tide Head, her grandchildren; James, Jeremie, Nickolas, Patrick, Micheal, Kevin, Jocelyn and Vanessa as well as many great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces.

Her service was held on December 2, at Our lady of Lourdes Church in Atholville with Rev. Romeo Morrison officiating. Interment will be in the spring at the Tide Head cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Campbellton Nursing Home for their extended special care.

Her funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Campbellton.

Mina Firth (Farrer)

Peacefully passed away at Saint-Mary's Hospital in Kitchener, Ontario on November 21, 2002 in her 83rd year.

She was born in Upsalquitch on June 9, 1920 to the Late Guy Farrer and the late Margaret Parker.

She was the beloved wife of Garnet Firth of Kitchener and loving mother of Fay Sherwood, John, Gary, Pat, and Les (Heather) Firth, and her late son who died at birth on September 3, 1950, Boyde Firth.

She will be remembered by her grandchildren; Tom (Tracy) Firth, Shelley (Kelly) Kresky, and her late grandson, Jim. She is also survived by her brothers; Betfford, of Hamilton, Clifford of Upsalquitch, Thomas of Saint John, Colborne of Campbellton and her late brother, Hedley, and here sister, Mildred Blaikie of the Village Nursing Home.

Her funeral service was held on November 25 at the Westmount Funeral Home's chapel in Kitchener with Rev. Robert Towler officiating. She was cremated and will be buried in the Dawsonville Cemetery in the spring of 2003. Expressions of sympathy and /or donations to the Canadian heart and Stroke foundation or an Association of the donor's choice are greatly appreciated by the family.

Louise Lavery (Pilon)

The death of Louise (Pilon) Lavery occurred on October 30, 2002 in Delta, B.C. following a brief illness.

She was born on August 4, 1931 the daughter of the late Olivette and Thomas Pilon and spent her early years in Dalhousie.

She is survived by here special friend, Ted Barrett, her three sons; Brian (Tracey), Sean (Linda) , and Patrick (Deanna), and her grandson, Brendon all of Delta, B.C., her two sisters; Shirley O'sullivan of Edmonton, and Gail (Joe) LaFlamme of Nepean, Ont., one brother, Reginald (Betty) Pilon of Gatineau, Quebec as well as several nieces and nephews.

Her interment was in the Boundry Bay Cemetery in Delta, B.C. on November 4, 2002.

Meriza Letourneau

The death of Meriza Letourneau of Dalhousie occurred on November 26, 2002 at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Dalhousie at the age of 70.

She was born in Bas-Caraquet on September 30, 1932, a daughter of the late Joseph N. Boucher and the late Marie Marthe Goinet.

She was a retired Nurse.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Letourneau of Dalhousie, her sons; Gordon and Mark both of Dalhousie and her two granddaughter; Natasha and Jessica.

Her funeral was held on November 29 at the Saint John Bosco Church in Dalhousie with Father chamberlain officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery in Darlington.

Her funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Campbellton.

Ora McLaughlin

Passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 26, 2002 at the Peel Memorial Hospital in his 76th year.

He was the loving husband of Grenville (Linday) for 53 years and dear father of Gayle (David) Newland of Guelph, Cherl McLaughlin and Dennis Moore, and Keith (Sheri) McLaughlin all of Georgetown. He was the proud "papa" of Amanda, Ryan, Jason, Cory, Kristie, Lindsay, Bobby, and Max. He is also survived by his sisters; Marg McMillan and Joyce McLaughlin and a brother, Tar.

Before his retirement he was a dedicated employee of Campbell Soup for 43 years.

David Joseph Frank Carter

The death of David Carter occurred on November 29, 2002 at his home in Dalhousie. He was born in Dalhousie on February 24, 1964 to Frances Pitre and the late Gary Carter.

He is survived by his wife, shelley (Bernatchez), his mother, Frances Carter, his daughter Jessica, his son, Jonathan, and his brother Timothy Carter of Dalhousie.

His service was held on December 2 at the St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie with Rev. Chamberlain officiating. Interment was in the Bosco Cemetery.

His funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home.
