Alexander J. St. Onge

The death of Alexander J. St. Onge of Dalhousie and formerly of St. Lambert, PQ, occurred on December 5 at the St. Joseph's Hospital two days before his 83rd birthday.

He is survived by his grandson, David Ganong, his sisters, Marie Probets of Scarborough, and Barbara Davidson of Campbellton, his brothers, George (Gloria) of Halifax, Bob (Betty) of Dalhousie, and Donald (Sadie) of Darthmouth.

He was predeceased by his wife Barbara (Blake) St. Onge, his daughter, Lynn Ganong, his sisters Theodora, Frances, Leona, and Pauline and brothers, Ralph. Lloyd, John, and Michael.

Following cremation, a memorial mass was held on December 13 at St. John Bosco Church in Dalhousie with Rev. Edmund Chamberlain officiating.

Honouary pallbearers were Myles Mawhinney, John Barberie, Jeff Harvey, Sandy MacLean, Peter Davidson, and Herman (Bud) MacDonald.

The reading, Thessalonians 1, Chapter 4, 13-18 was by special request of his niece Valerie Bowes of Perth, Ontario, and was read by his brother Donald, who also read the eulogy.

Following the mass, a Legion Memorial Service was conducted by the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 17.

Iwanna Farmakiotis

Iwanna Farmakiotis, 33, of Dalhousie passed away on December 14, 2002 at her home. She was born on March 28, 1969, in Toronto, the daughter of the late Nickolas Farmakiotis and the late Judy Haley.

She is survived by her seven year-old daughter Isabella, her sister, Laurie Farmakiotis of Toronto, her half-sister Tammy Arseneau-LaPointe of Dalhousie, her niece and her nephew.

Her funeral was held at Maher's Funeral Chapel on December 18 with Rev. Fraser officiating with interment in the United Church Cemetery in Upsalquitch.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Dalhousie.

Daisy Goudreau

Daisy Goudreau passed away on December 10, 2002, at the York Manor Home in Fredericton at the age of 88. She was born on May 27, 1914, the daughter of the late David Jamieson and the late Lillian Ferguson and was active in the Campbellton Bridge Club.

She is survived by her daughters; Charleen Leduc, Carolyn Goudreau, Rosalyn Dumont, Diane (Claude) Mercier, Louise (Arnold) Roherty, Gloria (Burce) McIlveen, Carmen (Donald) Robinson, her sons; Gerald, Richard (Mary), Paul (Mary), Ernest (Linda), Philip (Deborah), Raymond (Patricia), Mark, and Ronald (Carmen), her sisters; Marion Crozier of Ottawa and Reta Matheson of Ottawa as well as 33 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Guy Goudreau who died in August of 1974, her brothers; Harold, David William and James and her sister, Grace.

Her funeral was held on December 13 at Our Lady of Snow's Church with Father Morrison officiating.

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Campbellton.
