Dwight Bean

The death of Dwight Bean occurred on January 29,2003 at his home in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 43.

He was born on April 12,1959 the son of Effie Bean (Flanagan) and William Oliver Bean.

He is survived by his mother, Karl, Ned, Heather, Donna, Twila, Nancy and Darryl as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brother, Derek. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home in Campbellton.

Mildred Furlotte

The death of Mildred Furlotte of Sunnyside occurred on January 31, 2003 at the age of 91. Born in Sunnyside, the daughter of the late Ernest Gallen and Sophie Jane (Furlotte).

She is survived by her children, Gerald (Jean), Bathurst, Hazel, Noel Sunnyside, Emile (Maurilla), Petit Rocher, Augustine, Belledune, Kimble (Joan), Belledune, Eldric (Veronica), Moncton, Eric, Toronto, Rayburn (Debbie), Bathurst, Roger (Carol), British Columbia, Ronnie, Toronto, her brother, Tommy Gallen two half brothers, Herman and Billy Gallen, as well as 26 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Wesley Furlotte, a daughter, Karen, a sister Edith, and three brothers, Jimmy, Charlie and Wesly. Her funeral service was held on February 3, at St. Gabriel's Church in Jacquet River with Ronnie, Kevin, Keith, Ricky and Charles Furlotte and Nick Keip serving as pallbearers. Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home in Black Point.

Beatrice Anne (Parker) Harris

The death of Beatrice Anne Harris formally of the Campbellton area occurred on January 29, 2003 in Missisauga Ontario, surrounded by family and friends at the age of 80.

She was born January 17, 1942 in Minto, New Brunswick, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs Hurbert Parker of Minto, New Brunswick; she was one of 13 children. She graduated from the Soldier's Memorial Hospital in Campbellton in 1949 and continued in this field until retirement, working in hospitals in New Brunswick and Ontario. She is survived by her sisters, Vera MacGackie of Vancouver BC, Iyda Porter of Minto, N.B. and Natalie Anderson of Chipman, N.B. She is also survived by 5 children, Robert, Pamela,. Mississauga, Ontario, Donald, Hamilton Ontario, Lesley, Kitchener, Ontario, and eight grandchildren Also left to mourn her death ex husband Donald Harris of Richardsville, as well as several friends and relatives.

Dorothy Jean Humphries

Dorothy Jean (Bain) Humphries passed away peacefully on January 1, 2003 after a lengthy illness at the Liesureworld Nursing Home in Gravenhurst, Ontario. She was 81.

She was the wife of the late Harold Humphries and the late Vincent Ferguson. She was the loving mother of Lorraine (David) and Jack (Betty) and also the loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren and great grandmother of fifteen. She also had many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother, Ralph and sisters, Geraldine, Lois and Ivy.

She was predeceased by her son, Donald her parents, Charles and Lousie Bain, her sisters, Evelyn, Lou, Vera and Patricia, her brothers, Randolph, Reid, and Morgan and one grandson. At her request, cremation has taken place. Any donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society and would be greatly appreciated by her family

Denzil George Pollock

The community of Glen Levit and surrounding areas were saddened to learn of the death of Denzil George Pollock on January 18, 2003 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Glen Levit on October 29,1933 he was the son of the late James and Barbara Pollock.

He attended school in Glen Levit and was a licensed pipefitter. He worked for many years for Lounsbury Co, in Campbellton and later for John MacDonald & Sons as a heavy equipment operator. For the last few years until his illness he was employed as a fish warden. Denzil was a member of the Glen Levit United Church and also an associate member of the Campbellton Royal Canadian Legion, Denzil was an avid bingo, cribbage, and dart player as will be greatly missed at these tournaments.

He was predeceased by his wife Caroline. His brothers, Whitney, Reggie, Ronnie, Beverly and twin brother Bruce, and his sisters, Doris and twin sister Dawn. He leaves to mourn his long-time companion Jean Murray, his daughters, Bonnie Adams (Garry), Dawsonville, Heather Smith (Larry), Glen Levit, and Carla Pollock of Campbellton. He is also survived by sister's Bertha Adams, Matapedia, Frances Smith (John), Campbellton, and Glennis Pollock, Moncton. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Nancy (Derek) Lisa (Pierre). Jonathon, Tabatha, Christopher and Carrie Ann, and four great grandchildren, Keith, Rebecca, Cory & Savannah and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held from Maher's Funeral Chapel on Monday January 20 at 11:00 a.m. with Wendall Gergan LPM conducting the largely attended service, Hymns sung were Amazing Grace, The Old Rugged Cross and What A Friend We Have in Jesus, favorites of the deceased. The eulogy was delivered by his daughter Bonnie Adams. The 23 psalm was read by niece Penny Pollock. The many beautiful floral tributes, memorial donations and other gifts testified to the high esteem held for Denzil. He was a wonderful companion, father, grandfather, great grand father, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him and he will be sadly missed. Pallbearers were Garth Fitzgerald, Vimy Lyons, John MacDonald, Garry Adams, and Robert and William Betteridge. Honorary pallbearers were: Whiney Betteridge Jr. Curtis Adams, Charles Irving Christopher Irving, Howard Cooling, Billy Murray, Bob Moran, Paul Thomas, Terry Smith, Reid Pollock, David Pollock, Roger Pollock, Donald Pollock, Danny Pollock, Brett Pollock, Dusty Firth, and Larry Smith. Interment was in the Glen Levit Cemetery. Dad, you will be missed greatly but you will bot be forgotten May you rest in peace forever.
