Joachim (J.J.) Lavoie 1921 - 2005

The death of Joachim (J.J.} Lavoie, husband of Fernande Boissoneault of Dalhousie, occurred on Monday, February 21, 2005, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Dalhousie at the age of 83. .

Joachim was the son of the late Albert Lavoie and the late Parmelia Dugas.

He leaves to mourn his wife, Fernande, two sons Henri (Linda) of Dalhousie and Rene (Sylvie) of Dieppe, three daughters Agathe (Levis) of Beresford, Celine (David) of Dalhousie and Denise (Phil) of Ottawa. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren. and 5 great grandchildren that he truly cherished, two sisters Sr. Rose Agathe Lavoie "RSR" of Amqui and Marie Valotaire of Dalhousie, and one brother Armand (Francine) of Tracadie-Sheila.

The funeral was held tram St. John the Baptist Church in Dalhousie on Thursday, February 24, 2005. Funeral. Arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Dalhousie.

Germaine Renault Adams

The death of Germaine Renault Adams, resident of the Village Nursing Home, occurred at the Campbellton Regional' Hospital on February 23, 2005, at the age of 88.

Born in Campbellton on August 14, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Renault and the late Marie Barthe.

She leaves to mourn her sisters Mrs. Alma Graham of Campbellton, Mrs. Frances Turnbull of South Africa and Mrs. Theresa Mackinnon of Tide Head, brothers Leo Paul Renault of Moncton and Jack Renault of Campbellton.

Predeceasing her were her parents Alfred and Marie and her husband Wallace Adams.

With interment in Flora Hills Memorial Garden Cemetery in Charlottetown, PEl Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

James Ralph Cooling

The death of James Ralph Cooling of 98 Pollock Road, Glen Levit, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on February 11, 2005, at the age of 60.

Born in Campbellton on March 4, 1944, he was the son of the late Ralph Cooling and the late Etta Smith.

He is survived by his wife Joan; son Derek (Tara) of Quispamsis, N.B.; daughter Karyn (fiance Dale) of Dartmouth, N.S.; sisters Glenna (Barry) of Jacquet River, N.B. and Della (Wade) of Dawsonville, N.B.; and brother Dennis (Lorraine) or (Cambridge, Ont.

He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Etta, brother Carl and infant sister Lila.

The funeral was held from Maher's Funeral Chapel on Monday, February 14, 2005, officiated by Rev. Andrew Fraser, with burial to take place in the Dawsonville Cemetery in the spring. Pallbearers were Jim Babcock, Howard Cooling, Brad Firth, Brian Firth, Tom Kelly and Mark Ramsay. Honourary pallbearers were Ray Blanchette, Malcolm Cooling, Ronnie Hamilton, Joe Hennigar, Silas Matchett, Ralph Nichol, Ritchie Thompson and Dana Watson.

Funeral arrangements were placed in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

Richard (Rick) Thompson

Born September 8, 1962. Passed away January 25, 2005, unexpectedly at home in Mississauga, Ont., at the age of 42. Beloved father of Ryan, remembered by Ryan's mother Lisa. Leaving to mourn his mother Leta; stepfather Walter; sisters Sharon (John) and Shelly (Ken). He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was predeceased by his father Terry, infant brother Danny and both sets of grandparents, Norman and Marjory Noble and Freeman and Isobel Thompson. Funeral service was held on Saturday, January 29, at 12;30 p.m. at Turner and Mississauga, Ont., Interment will take place in the spring in the Rural Cemetery. His memories will remain in our hearts forever and we will always be grateful for all the good times we had together. We love you Rick, Son Ryan, Mom, Walter, Sharon, and Shelly.
