Albertine Amanda Roy
The death of Albertine Amanda Roy of 403 Vanier St., Campbellton, N.B., occurred at her residence on April 14 at the age of 100. She was born in Maria, Quebec, on June 28, 1902, to the late Edmund Thibodeau and Amanda Boudreau.
She was a homemaker and belonged to the Ladies of St. Anne and Golden Age Club.
She is survived by daughters Stella Johnston, Tide Head, Jacqueline Mayo, Moncton, Doris (Ulysse) Barriault, Campbellton, daughter-in-law, Jean Roy, Campbellton, sons Ronald (Georgette), Fredericton and Maurice Roy, Niagara Falls, Ont., brothers, Paul, Campbellton, and Leo Thibodeau, Victoria, B.C.
She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Hector, daughter, Hectorine Law, sons Henry and Ronald (child).
Neal Parker
The death of Neal Parker of Collingwood, Ont., and formerly of Upsalquitch, N.B. occurred suddenly at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ont., on March 19 in his 66th year.
Beloved companion of Evelyn Parker, loving father of Donna (Michael) Hackett, Linda (Brent) Lawson and Michael, all of Collingwood, Ont., cherished grand-father of Nicole, Jesse and Carlee, dear brother of Georgena (Jack) Powell of Peterborough, Lydia (Bill) McLean of Aurora and Goldie Sutton of Aurora, Ont., and a brother of Cecil (Mary) Parker of Robinsonville, N.B.
Neal was predeceased by his son Timothy, his parents, Frederick and Elizabeth Parker, and six brothers, Ivan, Leonard, Vernon, Hilton, Alton and Leo.
Clara A. Ferguson
Clara A. Ferguson of Moncton and formerly of Campbellton and London, Ont., passed away at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, April 17, 2003. Born in Price Settlement, daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Ann (Stymist) Stewart, Clara was a former employee of W.G. Young Company in London, Ont., and formerly attended Knox Presbyterian Church, Campbellton.
Clara will be sadly missed by her sister, Florence (Hammie) Wadman with whom she resided with in Moncton, nieces, Joan MacKenzie, Elva MacKenzie, London, Ont., Carlen (Perley) Hayes, Norton, Gayle (John) Leger, Dalhousie, Mary (William) Hamilton, Fredericton, nephews, Kevin (Christine) Wadman, Moncton, Keith Stewart, Campbellton, Arthur (Doris) Stewart, Stewart, N.W.T., Terry Stewart, Fredericton, Ross (Eleanor) MacKenzie, Mississauga, Ont.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Ferguson (1945), daughter, Sheila, sisters, Hannah, Janet, Margaret, brothers, Ross, John and Percy.
Esther Smith
The death of Esther Smith, wife of the late Albert Smith Sr., of 494 Queen St., Dalhousie, NB occurred at the St. Joseph Hospital, Dalhousie, on April 18 at the age of 82. She was born in Balmoral, NB, on April 4, 1921 to the late Alexandre Arseneault and Emma Desrosiers.
She is survived by daughters Jeanne (Robert) Mentis, and Yvette Smith (Andre Carrier), sons, Albert Jr., (Irene), Patrick (Fernande) and Gerard (Bertha) Smith, one sister, Philomene Arseneault, two brothers, Patrick and Narcisse Arseneault. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert Smith Sr., one daughter, Simone and one son, Robert.
