Mrs Rita Murray

At the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 20, 2003, passed away Mrs Rita Murray of 28 Renault Street Campbellton. Born in Campbellton on July 13, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William Walsh and the late Lauretta Shannon and wife of the late Donald Murray (2002).

She was a member of the Saint Thomas Catholic Women's League, Known for her wit and wonderful sense of humour, she will be greatly missed by family and friends.

She leaves to mourn her three daughters, Linda Murray-Knowles, Bathurst, Susan Murray, Dartmouth, N.S., and Brenda Murray, Campbellton and her son Allan (Angie) Murray , Edmonton , Alberta.

She also leaves to mourn her grandchildren, Sheryl, Erin, Shannon, Holly Knowles, Kaitlyn Murray, Ryan, Cole Murray, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Yvon Lanteigne

The death of Yvon Lanteigne of 275C St. Louis, Atholville, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on April 21 at the age of 67. He was born in Quebec on July 5, 1935 to the late Albert Lanteigne and Alma Power.

Mr. Lanteigne was a retired salesman.

He is survived by his wife , Juno Donnelly, daughters, Suzanne (Terry) Martin, Bathurst, N.B. and Joyce (Richard) Gallant, Atholville, NB. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Christopher and Scott Martin, Maxime and Genevieve Gallant and a great-grandchild, Kali Dawn Martin.

Albertine Amanda Roy

The death of Albertine Amanda Roy, formerly of 403 Vanier St., Campbellton, N.B., occurred at the Campbellton Nursing Home on April 14, 2003, at the age of 100. She was born in Maria, Quebec, on June 28, 1902, to the late Edmund Thibodeau and Amanda Boudreau.

She was a homemaker and member of the Ladies of St. Anne and Golden Age Club.

She is survived by daughters Stella Johnston, Tide Head, N.B., Doris (Ulysse) Barriault, Campbellton, N.B., sons Ronald (Georgette), Fredericton, N.B., and Maurice Roy, Niagara Falls, Ont., brothers, Paul, Campbellton, and Leo Thibodeau, Victoria, B.C., daughter-in-law, Jean Roy, Campbellton and son-in-law, Reginald Law, Campbellton.

She is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great- grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Hector, daughter Hectorine Law, sons Henry and Ronald (child).

Corinne Bouvier

Corinne (Belanger) Bouvier, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at the CLSC Matapedia at the age of 84.

She was the beloved wife of the late Victorien Bouvier of Laval.

She will be sadly missed by her two sisters, Lorraine Normand and Fenella Bourgeois, both of Campbellton and by her brother Raymond of Laval, by two sisters-in-law, Marguerite (late Roland) Audet and Pierrette (late Rudy) Clavel as well as by several nieces and nephews and friends.

Charlene Vivian (Wirtanen) Rose

Charlene Vivian (Wirtanen) Rose, 60, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully on Friday April 26, 2003, in the New Halifax Infirmary, at the QE11 Hospital. Born November 12, 1942, in Campbellton, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Harry M. and Patricia E. (Wyers) Wirtanen.

Charlene was a member of Saint Luke's Anglican Church, Dartmouth and Christ Church Anglican, Campbellton. She was a registered nursing assistant and a registered medical technologist. She was also a member of Saint Luke's "Time Out for Women", Block Parents, Dartmouth Breakfast Program and an active member for the Monarchrist League of Canada, Halifax branch.

Charlene is survived by her only son, Scott Douglass Rose, Dartmouth, brothers, Maxwell S. Wirtanen, Tide Head, N.B., David J. Wirtanen, Kanata, Ontario.

She was predeceased by her sister, Kathryn E. Wirtanen.

Cremation took place under the care and direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Interment will be at a later date in the Campbellton Rural Cemetery.

Lois Jean (MacLean) Vasilakos

Dollard des Ormeaux, Que. Lois Jean (MacLean) Vasilakos passed away on April 20, 2003, at the Montreal General Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Dalhousie on August 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred MacLean and Myrthe Goodwin of Dalhousie.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, George Vasilakos, her daughter, Wendy Carder (Bobby), Charlo, four brothers, Lloyd MacLean (Donalda), Donald MacLean (Fern), Frank MacLean (Marlene) and Reginald MacLean (Maureen), all of Dalhousie. Also survived by three grandsons, Jason, Adam and Andrew Carter and several nieces and nephews.
