Mrs. Ida Finlay
The death of Mrs. Ida Finlay of 6 Park Street, Campbellton, occurred at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on September 7, 2001.
She was born in Petite Rivière du Loup, QC on May 11, 1931 to Michael Finlay and Alice Gregoire, now both deceased.
She was a member of the C.W.L. chapter at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Campbellton.
She is survived by a sister, Frances (Laurent) Pitre of Paspebiac, QC, a niece Betty LePoidvin of Campbellton, nephews Lawrence Jr., (Hank) Gregoire of Pointe -a-la-Croix and Ryan LePoidvin of Campbellton and by many cousins.
The family would like to thank the C,W.L of St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Rev. Landry from St. Anne's Church, Maher's Funeral Home and special thanks to Rose Marie Doucet, a dear friend to Mrs. Finlay.
Funeral services were held September 10 at St. Anne's Church, Restigouche with Rev. Landry officiating.
Interment was in St. Anne's Church cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Mary Geraldine Doyle
Mary Geraldine (Jerry) Doyle, born January 11 1920, in Dalhousie, passed away on September 12, 2001, in Kelowna , B.C. at the age of 81 years.
Survived by her loving family; husband of 56 years John; beloved mother of David (Dorine) of Ottawa, Ont., and Joe Anne (George) of Port Coquitlam , B.C.; seven grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
Also survived by her two sisters; Sylvia Elsligar and Zerilda Arsenault, both of Dalhousie.
Prayers were recited on Sunday, September 16th, 2001, at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Father Rick Paulin, celebrant.
Internment will follow in the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Interior District Office, 1633 Pandosy Street. Kelowna B.C. V1Y 1P6 in memory of Jerry.
Arrangements were entrusted to First Memorial Funeral Services, (250) 762-2299.
Roberta "Ruby" Guitar
Roberta "Ruby " Guitard of Jacquet River, widow of the late Francis Guitard, passed away at the Dalhousie Nursing Home on September 15.
She was born in Perth, Scotland, and is survived by a daughter, Veronica (Michael) Doucette of Niagara Falls Ontario, three grandchildren Jeffrey, Daniel and Jennifer of Ontario and a son-in-law Michael.
The funeral was held from St. Gabriel's Church, Jacquet River, on September 17.
Pallbearers were Arnold, Allan and Lawrence Guitard, Louis Dempsey, Vincent Duplessis and Gordon Carmichael.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.
