Guy Poirier
The death of Guy Poirier of Trois-Rivières, Québec occurred April 28, 2003 at CHRTR, Pavillon St. Joseph. He was 66.
He is survived by wife Louise Bellefeuille, son Marc and daughter Anne, grandchildren Marie-Céline, Francis-Olivier and Vincent. He is also survived by brothers and sisters; Armand (Léona Noel), Paul (Rachel Lavoie), Jeannette (Arthur Bourque), Thérèse (the late Lindy Goode), Alice (the late Paul Basque), Irène (Fred Stoddart), Rolande (Lorenzo Chiasson), Annette (Robert LeClair).
He was predeceased by his brothers Raymond ( Obelline Leblond ) and Hector (Francine Caissie). He is also survived by mother-in-law, Mrs. Rolande Bellefeuille (the late Sarto Bellefeuille). Sisters-in-law, Michelle, Renée (Jérôme Aylward), many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
There will be a ceremony at St-John Baptist Church in Dalhousie, NB on July 10, 2003 at 4 p.m.
J. Roland Ferlatte
J. Roland Ferlatte, of 463A Victoria St., Dalhousie, passed away on June 26, 2003, in Moncton N.B., at the age of 71.
Born February 18, 1932 in Dalhousie, he was the son of John C. Ferlatte (deceased) and Yvonne Lebel (deceased).
He served as an electrician in the N.B.I.P.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Lou Gallie Ferlatte, of Dalhousie; daughter, Deborah Lynn MacMillan ( David ) of Oakville, Ontario; sons, John Frank Ferlatte ( Wanda ) of Gander, Nfld., Jean Guy Ferlatte ( Cheryl ) of St. Jacques, N.B., brothers; Claude Ferlatte (Anne), of Oakville, Ontario, Pierre Ferlatte, of Dalhousie, Gilles Ferlatte, of Montreal, P.Q., and Rheal Ferlatte, of Moncton.
He is also survived by 10 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, and brother Jean Guy Ferlatte. The funeral service was held on July 1, 2003 at St. John Bosco Church, in Dalhousie, with Rev.W. Arseneau officiating. Interment was at the parish cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Albert Lapointe
The death of Albert Lapointe occurred June 22 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 73.
Born in Nash Creek, the son of Joseph Lapointe and Ida (Furlong).
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Murchie), two daughters, Brenda Harvey (Clayton), of Nash Creek, and Wendy Mallaley (Don), of Nash Creek, as well as three grandchildren: Vanessa Harvey, Kayla Mallaley and Shannon Mallaley.
He is also survived by his brother Norman, of Chambly Quebec, and sisters, Jean Lapointe, of Nash Creek, Joan Hachey, of Bathurst, and Lucy Sirianni, of Pender Island, British Columbia.
He was predeceased by his mother and father, as well as nine brothers and four sisters.
A private family service was held with burial in New Mills United Church Cemetery. Funeral arrangements in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.
Claude Savoie (Ti-Chou)
Claude Savoie, of Atholville, passed away on June 18, 2003 at the age of 56. Born on September 11, 1946, he was the son of Edward Savoie (deceased) and Adeline Lanteigne (deceased).
He was employed in the Village of Atholville.
He is survived by his daughters, Colette Savoie, of Ontario, and Melesa Savoie, of Atholville; sons, Yves Savoie, of Ontario, and Steven Savoie of Atholville; sisters, Patricia (Yvon Blacquiere), of Atholville, and Gisele (Roland Duguay), of Atholville; brothers, Yvon Savoie (Linda), of Atholville, Gaston Savoie (Muriel), of Moncton, and Robert Savoie (Pieriette), of Atholville.
He is also survived by five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his mother and father. Interment was in the Notre Dame de Lourdes Cemetery. Pallbearers were from the Atholville Fire Department.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Thompson, Germaine
Entered into rest in her 92nd year, at the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre, on June 14, 2003.
She was the wife of the late Herbert Emerson Thompson, mother of Charlene Pearl, Carol Neill, and Mark. She was predeceased by two sons, Bruce and Brian. She was the daughter of the former mayor of Dalhousie, Arsene Allain, a sister or Edrick (Dick) Allain, Corrine Cannon and Mrs. Eileen, Dillon Arseneault.
The grandmother of 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her youngest brother Raymond Allain, of London Ontario.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, June 25, 2003 in the chapel of the McEachnie Funeral Home in Ajax (Pickering Village), Ontario.
Butler, James Wilfred
James Wilfred Butler, born in Campbellton, July 30, 1923, died peacefully March 9, 2003 in Thunder Bay, ON.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Emily.
He is survived by his children, Robert (Kim) and Margaret (Hank); grandchildren Luke, Thomas, Stacy, Daniel, Trina, Trevor and Tara; great-grandchildren, Makaila and Madison; sisters-in-law Rena (Glen), Doris (Hazen-deceased) and Alyuna (Eldridge-deceased); numerous nieces and nephews, including Sheila, Sandra and Linda, Donnie, Kenny and Michael.
Committal of ashes will take place July 10, at 1:30 p.m., in the Rural Cemetery, Rev. Eugene Lanctin presiding.

Peacefully in hospital in Ottawa on Monday, June 23, 2003 in his 78th year.
Beloved husband of Anita Petitpas. Dear father of Lawrence (Andrea), Anne-Marie (Lou), Lucie, Lise, Jessica and Emily (Shane). Dear grandfather of Kyle, Joey, Angelena, Amanda, Jordann, Ella, and Max.
Also survived by brothers Dave and Tony and sisters Jessie and Chris. Service held at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes in Ottawa, Ontario.

Rebecca Boudreau
Rebecca Boudreau passed away at the Village Nursing Home, Campbellton on June 19, 2003 at the age of 87.
Born June 27, 1916 in Beresford, NB, she was the daughter of Alexandre Frenette (deceased) and Alma Paulin (deceased).
She is survived by daughters Pauline (John) Legacy, of Campbellton, Yvonne Boudreau, of Beresford, Claire (Daniel) Arseneault, of Beresford; son Paul (Maria Paquet) Boudreau, of Dalhousie; and brother Clarence (Pat) Frenette, of Petit Rocher.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Emile Boudreau.
Funeral service was held at Notre Dame des Neiges Church on June 23, and was officiated by Rev. Romeo Morrison.
Honourary pallbearers were Therese Mercier, and Regina Boudreau. Pallbearers were Gino Legacy, Maurice Godin, Stephane Arseneault, Scott Legacy, Allan Bastarache and Roger Boudreau.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
