Willard (Haggetty) Metallic

Willard (Haggetty) Metallic of Listuguj, Quebec died on July 6, 2003 at the age of 49. Born December 10, 1953 to Patrick Metallic Sr. and Judith Matthews was a labourer and enjoyed riding his 4-wheeler and hanging out with his buddies.

He is survived by mother Judith Metallic of Listuguj, son Adam Root from Listuguj, sisters Patsy (Ivan), Norma Jean (late Patrick Martin) and Beddase (Dennis) all from Listuguj. He is also survived by brothers Junior, Rocky (Lorraine) and Snyder (Dawn) all from Listuguj.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews from Listuguj. Metallic was pre-deceased by father Patrick Metallic Sr., and brothers Victor and Guy.

Funeral services were held in Listuguj under the direction of Father Everiste Landry. Interment in St. Anne's Church Cemetery in Listuguj. Pallbearers were Snyder Metallic (brother), Ryan Morrison (nephew), Ivan Gray Jr. (nephew), Richard Gray (nephew), Serge Gray (nephew) and Denzel Isaac (nephew).

Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home of Campbellton.

Jean Marguerite Bubar (nee Simmons)

Jean Marguerite Bubar passed away on July 2, 2003 at the Village Nursing Home in Campbellton, N.B. at the age of 93.

During her long life, Jean was a member of the United Church, as well as the I.O.D.E., the L.O.B.A., the Retired Teachers Association and the Elizabeth I.U. Seniors Groupe.

Jean was born in 1910 to Frederick Simmons and Edna May (Hunter), of Maquapit Lake, N.B.. After spending her married life in Fredericton, Jean moved to Campbellton, following her retirement from teaching, to be closer to her family.

She is predeceaded by her beloved husband Lorne Allen Bubar; daughter, Joanna Mae McRae; son-in-law, David R. McRae, and three of her four sisters; Annie Hammon, of Houlton, Maine, Neta Crainford, of Picton, O.N., and Lena Elliot, of Belisle Creek, N. B. She is survived and will be missed by her grandchildren, as well as her great-grandchildren, in whom she took great pride and loved dearly; grand-mother to Connie McRae (Richard Evans), of Ottawa, O.N., Stuart McRae (Claire Dennie), of Campbellton, Beth McRae, of Guelph, O.N., Charlotte McRae (Kevin Adair), of Ottawa, O.N., and David McRae, of Toronto, O.N.

Great-grandmother to William and Emily McRae, Andrew, Connor and Jason Evans, and Joanna and Sarah Adair.

She is also survived by her sister Stella Ross, of Ottawa, O.N., and her good friend, Joyce Wyeras, of Fredericton, N.B.

The funeral service was held on Saturday, July 5, 2003, in Campbellton. She now lies in peace with her husband Lorne at the Alexander Gibson Cemetery, in Marysville, N.B.

Kilpatrick, Violet M. (Miller)- Norton, Mass.

Violet M. (Miller) Kilpatrick age 93 years passed away Saturday, June 14, 2003 at the Epoch Senior Health Center in Norton, Massachusetts where she was a resident for the past year and a half. Violet was the wife of the late Ashley L. Kilpatrick originally of Saint John.

Born in Dalhousie, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Maggie (Loane) Miller. Violet was formerly educated in New Brunswick schools and was a graduate of Teacher's College. She also graduated from the former Goddard Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1935.

She was a resident of Brockton since 1932 and was employed as a Private Duty Nurse in the Brockton Area. Violet was a member of the Goddard Memorial Alumni and enjoyed reading as well as playing scrabble. She also attended the Pearl Street Methodist Church in Brockton.

Two brothers survive Violet; James E. Miller of St. Thomas, Ontario, and Sydney (Betty) Miller of Dalhousie as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A brother, Gilmour (Louise) Miller and four sisters Jennie (Gilbert) Hamilton, Jessie (Roy) Patriquin, Margaret (Arnold) Duncan, and Edith (Robert) Mullin preceded Violet in death.

A graveside service was held on Monday, June 30, 2003 in Coweeset Cemetery, Brockton, MA. Arrangements are with the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St. Brockton, MA 02301.

Robert Roy

Robert Roy passed away at the Village Nursing Home, Campbellton N.B. on July 5, 2003 at the age of 57. He was born on March 20, 1946 in Kedgwick, N.B. He is survived by his father, Aimé Roy, and mother Rollande Savoie Roy; sisters Doris Roy, Ghislaine Roy, Solange Roy Thompson, Georgette Roy, Dianne Kwasnica, and Lise Ouellet; brothers Edward Roy and Roger Roy.

He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; Robert DuFresne, Marc DuFresne, Justin Roy, Matthew Roy, Veronique Ouellet, and Francois Ouellet.

The funeral service was held at Mary Queen's Church, in Richardsville, on July 7, 2003, and was officiated by Father Romeo Morrison. Pallbearers were Don Ouellet, Georgette Roy, Raymond Thifault, Alphé Savoie, Doris Roy and Robert Savoie. Interment was held at parish cemetery in McLeods. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.

M. Philibert Landry

M. Philibert Landry, of Charlo, passed away on July 8, 2003, at the age of 96. Born on December 15, 1906, he was the son of Philippe Landry and Mathilde McIntyre. He is survived by daughter Francine (Roland Godin), of Charlo; granddaughter Nicole (Peter Rozzini), of Mactaquac; and sister Stella (John Emile Audet), of Charlo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceaded by his wife, Fernande Allain; son Yvon; brothers Edgar, Gilbert, Georges, and Arthur; and sister Bertha (Auguste Parent).

The funeral service was held at St. Francis Xavier Church in Charlo on July 11, 2003, and officiated by Rev. Yvon Doiron. Interment was held at the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Balmoral.
