Mrs. Theresa Williamson
Mrs. Theresa Williamson, Campbellton, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2003 at the age of 74. Born March 9, 1929, in Nouvelle, P.Q., she was the daughter of Philippe Allard (deceased), and Mary Belanger (deceased). Theresa was a devoted housewife, mother, grandmother and also served as a psychiatric attendant at the Campbellton Provincial Hospital for 32 years. She loved bingo, and was an avid stamp collector.
She is survived by her husband, George Williamson; daughter, Dale Williamson (Danik Malenfant); sons, Guy Williamson, of Calgary, A.B., and Wayne Williamson (Joanne Taylor), of Calgary, A.B.; sisters, Mrs. Jeanine Goulet, Mrs. Georgette Falardeau, and Mrs. Albertine Theriault; and brother, Mr. Edgar Allard. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shayne, Schae, Gundey, Tammy and Dean.
Funeral service was held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church on July 11, 2003. Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Mr. Thomas W. Gulliver
1936-2003
Mr. Thomas Wesley Gulliver, husband of Sandra Gulliver, of Tide Head, and formerly of Bay du Vin, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at the age of 66. Born in Auburnville, he was the son of Betty (Harper) and the late Hubert Gulliver.
He was a retired employee of the C.N.R., working in both Newcastle, and Campbellton, prior to retirement. He was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin.
He is survived by his wife, the former Sandra Walsh; his mother, Betty Gulliver, of Bay du Vin; his mother-in-law, Mary Walsh (the late Roland), of Baie St. Anne; four sisters, Joan Weaver (James), of Doaktown, Rhona Williston (Herbert), of Moncton, Sheila Irons, of Calgary, A.B., and Carol McKinnon (Robert), of Ottawa, O.N.; one brother, Robert Gulliver (Winnifred), of Bathurst; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; sisters and brothers-in-law.
He was predeceased by his father, Hubert Gulliver.
Visitation was held at the funeral home on Thursday. The Service of Thanksgiving, with Holy Eucharist, was held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin, on Friday, July 18, 2003, conducted by Rev. Don Hamilton, assisted by Wendall Gregan and Frances Reid. The organist was Lois Dolan, who led the choir and congregation with the hymns, " The Lord is My Shepherd ", " Will Your Anchor Hold ", " Her, O Lord, I See Thee Face To Face ", and " Amazing Grace ". The scriptures were read by nieces, Sarah Walsh, Wendy Arteaga, and Tessa Walsh. The Lord's Prayer was led by Wendell Gregan.
The pallbearers were Clement Babineau, Dr. Robert Gillis, John Harper, Gale MacKinnon, Donald Mann and David Williston. Interment held in Bay du Vin. Following the service was a reception with the family, held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church.

Austin Carrier
The death of Austin Carrier, Archilbald, occurred on July 4, 2003 at the Bathurst Regional Hospital, at the age of 76.
Born in Lorne, he was the son of Joseph Carrier, and Elizabeth Jane (Hickey).
He is survived by his daughters, Florence Carrier (David Jardine), of Noel Settlement, Flora Carrier (Alphonse), of Archilbald, Rosie Carrier (Rene Hickey), of Lorne, and Rhoda Carrier, of Archilbald; two sons, Clarance, of Moncton, and Lawrence, of Saskatchewan.
He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother Leo, and sisters, Mathilda and Ellen Jane. He was predeceased by his wife Victoria (Duplacey); granddaughter, Amy, brothers, Gordon, Tommy and Johnny, and sisters, Beatrice Chamberlain, Mary Young and Maggie O'Brien.
His funeral was held from St. Gabriels Church, on Monday, July 7, 2003, and was officiated by Father Wilfred Benoit. Interment was held at the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were, Alphonse Carrier, Louis Carrier, Clarence Carrier, Andrew Dickie, Stewart Dickie, and Rene Hickey.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of MacMillan's Funeral Home, Black Point.
Arthur Lake
Arthur Lake, Eel River Crossing, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Dalhousie, on July 11, 2003 at the age of 85.
Born March 9, 1918 in Balmoral, he was the son of Thomas Lake (deceased) and Annie Marcaux (deceased).
Arthur was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knight of Columbus and a veteran of World War 2. He is survived by his wife, France Fournier, of Eel River Crossing, N.B,; daughter, Joelyn (Jean Trottier), of L'Ancienne Lorette, P.Q.; sisters, Simone Lake, of Lac Conneley, P.Q., Germaine Pitre, of Eel River Crossing, N.B., and Jacqueline (Frank Richard), of Lac Conneley, P.Q. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Clara, and his parents.
Pallbearers were Marcel Arseneau, Wayne MacGarvie, Harvey Arseneau, Denis Leclerc, Paul Emile Arseneau and Dr. Marc Levesque.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
Joseph Gérard Essiambre
Joseph Gérard Essiambre passed away at the Village Nursing Home on July 17, 2003 at the age of 85.
Born May 17, 1918 in Campbellton, he was the son of Aimé Essiambre (deceased) and Eléonore Boudreau (deceased). Mr. Essiambre was a retired SMT Bus Driver, where he worked for 37 years.
He was also a member of the Ligue du Sacré Coeur choir, the Campbellton Tigers, and Royal Majorettes. He is survived by his daughters, Denise (Dale) Laflamme, of Campbellton, Monique (Shane) Barton, of Campbellton, Paulette (J Robert) Steeves, of Saint John, and Sylvie (Dominic) Nozzolillo, of Upper Queensbury; sons, Gaston (Gisele) Essiambre, of Brantford, O.N., and Pierre (Michelle) Essiambre, of Mc Kendrick; and brother Omer Essiambre, who is a resident of the Village Nursing Home, Campbellton. He is also survived by Stewart, Stephane, DJ Laflamme, Luc, Manon, Christien and Denis Essiambre, Chad and Brock Barton, Paula and Ryan Steeves, and great-granddaughter Tara Laflamme. He was predeceased by his wife Françoise Bujold, sister Germaine Blanchette, and brother Adélard Essiambre.
Funeral service was held at Mary Queen's Church on July 19, 2003, and officiated by Father Romeo Morrison. Interment was held at McLeods Cemetery. Pallbearers were his grandchildren, Stewart, Stephane, and DJ Laflamme, Brock Barton, Christian and Denis Essiambre, and Paula and Ryan Steeves.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
